35559 I'm good with another round :)

Congratulations Sophie!
It's unbelievable, I have so many weddings to attend to this year. But it rained at the last one. In French there's a saying that if it rains on your wedding that brings good luck...I think it's to cheer the couple up ;)

So... Since I'm going to supervise your road to extinction victory I guess I could give you few pointers:

*waves* hi Tea :) ! Don't worry, we will not go down without putting up a good fight, they will write about us in history books.

35559 Hi Mellow Mammoths! I couldn't wait to finish work in order to go home and check in. I recognize a lot of familiar names. I'm Audrey, living in Belgium. Pleased to meet you all.

@NancyHelen; nice to be on the same team again :)

I'm really looking forward to this challenge !

35559 Also wobbling here, I just checked and I'm on team Mellow Mammoths. I'm really looking forward to this challenge, since it's new. And great teams.

35559 Yes, indeed this was the most difficult stop until now.

I finished my book The Hollow Kingdom (The Hollow Kingdom Trilogy, #1) by Clare B. Dunkle (07/06) and I loved every page of it. It's a retelling of the Beauty and the Beast, but in this retelling the Beast is a Goblin king. Very well done.

35559 Stop 7 is a really difficult one, took me time to find a book that fits the requirement, in the end I'm going to read The Hollow Kingdom. And Shadowfell by Juliet Marillier for stop 8, top shelves: 2014.

35559 I'm sorry to hear that Mary & Megan. Wish you a lot of strenght in these hard times.

No, you didn't miss my post Katie, I finished my book for the stop today: Aunt Dimity's Death - 25/05

35559 Justed wanted to say that I've read through all the posts since I last logged in (5 pages) and as a slow reader that's it for me for my evening reading time :p

@ Sumit; exactly the same here. I always feel like team challenges pushes me to read more. And I must admit, I like the competition.

@Diane: Personally I've been both on chatty and quiet teams before and both have their pros and cons. I've always chosen my preference depending on my schedule and work. If I feel I can keep up with a chatty team, I would opt for that one. I've noticed that for captains quiet teams are the most painful, aside from that they can be quit nice as well :)

Oh and my favourite book is The Three Musketeers, fell in love with it when I was twelve, and the sequels are even better.

35559 I finished my book Child of the Prophecy (Sevenwaters, #3) by Juliet Marillier - 19/05 - it works for 'set by a lake/ocean'.

I'm having a good week but I'm kinda looking forward to the weekend already (who doesn't) :)
I hope you had a great time with your hen party

35559 Hi Alison! Yes, you're welcome in the team :-)
We are currently reading a book with a teacup on the cover (stop 3 I think). The choices are pretty limited for this stop.
I'm reading two books at the same time now. Don't know if it's a good idea, I prefer to concentrate on one book at the time.
I hope everyone had a great weekend.

35559 Just finished watching it on the BBC, I love Graham's comments. What a tight competition it was, I thought everyone did well this year. Thanks Australia and Ireland for your great taste in music haha ;-)

35559 Just out of curiosity (and I couldn't find it in the Wobble threads), will there be bonus points given for participation in the BOM's like in some of the previous team challenges? Or is that only for Tower Teams?

Looking forward to how this team challenge will finally look like! And I'm always amazed with the spreadsheets and the management of the teams progress :) Hats off to you mods (and captains of course).

35559 Hope you all had a great weekend! We have lovely weather here. I went out to watch the highland games organised every year in May in my town :) Also bought a bunch of library books since they held a sale of their duplicates.

Meanwhile I finished The Visitor (Graveyard Queen, #4) by Amanda Stevens - 08/05 - 4 stars.

For the task 'set by a lake/ocean', I'm going to read Child of the Prophecy (Sevenwaters, #3) by Juliet Marillier . I don't know how much of the story must be set by a lake or ocean but part of the story is set in Kerry (Ireland), Galway (Ireland) near the Connemara Lake and a great part takes place near the sea.

35559 Thank you for the answer Karsyn! Just wanted to be sure before commiting :)

35559 I think the Battleship is quite interesting! I feel this challenge will be pretty intense :) I'm also looking forward to how the teams will arranged, they are always so creatively done.

Btw the reason for my question concerning the numbers of pages read is based on the feedback after the first edition of Wheelathon and TT. I remembered that some had asked that after a certain number of pages their books will count for more. For example if someone reads 3 books in a week with an average of 300 pages and in the same time span another reader in the team reads a door stopper of let's say 600 pages or more, then imo both have contributed equally. I don't know if these challenges will take that into consideration or if I'm too early with my question :)
May 04, 2016 05:30AM

35559 I'm enjoying it already, this is like a prelude. I've been signing in daily for this :p

Btw regarding the first letter - Wheelathon, will there be made a distinction between the numbers of pages. For example some books will count for two letters? Don't know if a FAQ will come later.

35559 Finished Son of the Shadows - 26 april

Up next is The Visitor (Graveyard Queen, #4) by Amanda Stevens , after four years finally the 4th book in the Graveyard Queen series.

35559 I'm currently 71% in my book, I'm making slow progress. Hope to finish it by monday as I can read all sunday :)
Have a nice weekend !
