35559 I just had a look on the Audible Plus catalogue and there are many books about bands or artists. Biographies are not my favourite types of books, but I can handle a couple for this challenge if needed.

My first book will be Kind 44 (Leo Demidov, #1) by Tom Rob Smith which will get one of those white covers out of the way. I'm not sure it will have any intruments, but you never know.

I have also used an audible credit for the BOM. Do we have anyone in the team who is up for volunteering for DQs? I don't mind being a backup, but as I will be listening to the book at work I may miss things or get sections mixed up.

35559 I will add my first white book to the spreadsheet tomorrow when I finally get on my laptop.

35559 @Karen it just never really happened. I've never really known who I would want to see. Also, I'm not very good with crowds and loud noises so that has also put me off.

@Fiona that could be worse, but could also be better. I had a long wait at Oslo once. I don't remember how long but I think it was somewhere between 8 and 10 hours. I remember the time going quicker than I thought it would. I think I even found a comfy seating area and had a nap. I hope you are able to make your move soon (or as soon as you want to do it).

35559 Now is probably a good time to point out that I have never been to a concert...

Fiona, oh yeah that is far. How is the flight/s? Because of where my boyfriend lives, I usually end up getting 3 flights (the longest being about 2 hours) unless I travel a bit further in the UK then I can get it down to 2. Because I'm paranoid about missing flights because of delays, I always leave lots of time between flights so the travel basically takes me a whole day.

35559 I've been to Trondheim many times (although mostly just at the airport in transit). For those that don't know, my boyfriend is Norwegian and my plan is to eventually move to Norway. Trondheim is the nearest big city to where he lives and his work took us there for there Christmas party the other year. It would have been nice to have had more time to sightsee. The cathedral is worth seeing, but I did only see it from the outside in the dark.

35559 Oh yeah, I also found 3 books with white covers on my TBR list (1 I'm not sure is white enough though), so my first book will probably be one of those and I have spare in case we struggle to find enough.

35559 Hello all!

I am Keely, one of your co-captains. This is my first time being a co-captain for Wheel so please be patient with me.
I live in the UK, but I currently work nights so I will mostly be around at the same time as you Australians. I've been at this job for 2 weeks (after I signed up) so I'm still getting use to it. I will be able to listen to audio books while I work which is a bonus so I should be able to help pick up the slack if anyone is struggling, but I will mainly be focusing on longer books for bigger points!

I don't play any instruments, although I wish I did. I'm not the biggest Rock fan, but I listen to such a variety of music that rock comes up occasionally.

I will read almost any book (or at least try) especially if it is for a challenge. I tend to enjoy books which a bit of mystery or adventure in them more than others.

I can't link my wheel shelf at the moment as I am on my phone, sorry.

35559 Argh! I'm still under that pesky line. I thought I had read enough to just get me over it, but instead I am just under it. Hopefully I will be able to read enough this month to let me see the other side of the line next time.

35559 I finished 2 books recently. The Return of Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock Holmes, #6) by Arthur Conan Doyle and The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne . Both were okay.

They took me up to 66% so where I should have been at the beginning of this month. I've got another book almost finished and then if I get another one done this month after that, I should just be over the line. I still have some short books I wanted to get done before wheel starts so I will try and get a couple of those done too if I have time.

35559 Thank you Lisa. It's nothing exciting, just working in a supermarket. But the money is decent.

El Duende is vanquished.

I span the newest wheel and our new monster is Behemoth (Master & Margarita).

35559 Thank you. I pm'ed the mod account as I got offered the job on the spot (and accepted).

35559 I finished one of my books today. I wanted to finish the other, but I had an interview that took longer than expected as they wanted me to shadow someone. The good news is that they offered me the job then and there!
I have my induction Monday and then begin work on Tuesday. I will be working nights again, but the good thing about that is that I will be able to listen to things which will mostly be audiobooks (and it's better money).

I will be finishing the Sherlock book tomorrow and then we will get a new monster!

35559 I'm really looking forward to wheel. The couple of months between team challenges has really helped me, but I am so ready for this challenge.

I wished I had learned to play an instrument. I like to sing but only in private or around people I really trust.

On my sign up, I added a comment that I may end up working night shifts (I have an interview tonight) so putting me in a different time zone group might be better as I would be awake when my time zone is asleep. I said I would let *someone* know if that ended up being the case... but who do I let know? Should I just post here or message someone directly?

35559 It took a while and a bit of frustration, but I finally found one on audible plus that wasn't too long and sounded somewhat interesting

35559 I finished my bird book and I found a book that fit the Latin America setting one. I'm going to try and finish that and the Sherlock book asap. I've got quite a bit left in the Sherlock book so it may be a couple of days yet, but I am keen to get us a new monster.
