Oh yeah, of course it would work for that too!

I am leaving my job to go back to Norway for a few months. My last shift is Saturday night and then I fly out on Wednesday. Other than spend time with my boyfriend and his family, I won't have much else I need to do. I'm taking a load of craft stuff with me to work on while I'm there so plenty of opportunity to get through audiobooks and I'm hoping to get through some Kindle books too.
Basically, I will have lots of time to read books in July.

*Edit* Just found the rules about this and it means that the page count will be set to 100, even though the book would be longer. I would probably only read it then as a last resort. I'm sure I can find something else that can work which would give us more points too.

Laura, yes I am still trying to work my way through it. It won't be this month now, but I do intend to finish it before the end of the challenge.

I just finished the book for our China task.
And I added a few books onto the possibilities for tasks. I don't want to add too many as I have quite a list to work through already, but some of them I can put on hold to help with tasks.

I will be reading both BOMs next month. I've volunteered for the Carrie Soto one and got an extra entry. I'm happy to be backup for the other one.

Chapters 9-11, 32%
14) What do you think the cards symbolize for the yellow card man? I'm starting to think it could be like a warning, but I'm also connecting him to Al. They both died at the same time. Now that the yellow/orange/black card man has committed suicide am I alone in worrying that Jake may never make it back - and therefore not be able to reset things if he makes a mistake?
There is the possibility that Jake may not be able to go back, but at the same time he doesn't seem to want to go back. The yellow card man is definitely important to the story somehow because he keeps being mentioned, I just don't know how yet.
15) Jake originally thought Carolyn's accident wasn't his to fix, but ended up fixing it anyways. What do you think the reasoning behind this was? The stay at the cabin in the lake sounds magical and relaxing. Do you like to canoe? And have you ever played cribbage?
I had a very poor attempt at canoeing on a school trip. By the time I was getting the hang of things, the session ended. I played cribbage once. A teacher taught me on a school trip and I manged to beat him on my first game (beginners luck). I never played again so I don't remember now.
16) Jake seems to be enjoying his time in the past a lot more than last time. Do you think there is a reason for this? Do you think you would be happy living in the past knowing what would happen? The general feel in this section is that of simpler and more trusting time. But how is it that nobody is even a little suspicious of a new guy, with such an oddly specific bet and other strange behaviors?
I don't know why Jake is enjoying the past, but I have a feeling he won't go back, if he ends up with a choice.
17) How do you feel about Harry dying in Vietnam? Is Jake right in feeling he wasted his time saving Harry or do we know too little about Harry's life to reach a conclusion? Should we be judging at all, and if so, based on what criteria beyond life and death?
I understand Jake's feelings, but his actions did give Harry a slightly longer life.
Bonus: (we had a fantastic team discussion with this one) I suspect that that event was one of those where so many people remember where they were that day/moment, how they felt, etc. Any others you all can think of?
I can't say any spring to mind. The only one I can think about was when the Queen died, but that was recent enough that it's not shocking that I remember.
I vaguely remember being at school when the news of 9/11 broke, but that's it.
