Ch 1 to CH 8
1.) What do you think of the premise of the book, like an aging rock band getting back together to go on tour but an adventuring band instead? Is the author pulling it off so far?
I generally read books where the main characters are younger and starting out on their first adventure, so it makes a nice change.
2.) The rocks, may of hit me a bit in the feels. Did it affect your opinion of Gabe at all?
Gabe is just a dad who wants to keep his daughter safe. I like that he understands that they might not find Rose alive, but he needs to know for sure.
3.) How do you like the world building, is it being done effectively for you without major info dumping? Is it helping to set the stage for the story?
I don't like all the information being dumped on me all at once. I find I tend to zone out. So this way is helpful for me and is helping setting up the story.
4.) What did you think about the parade? Did anyone else enjoy Clay's reaction to the ladies being whistled at and be disappointed when the lady blew a kiss back instead of skewering the guy (like Clay expected to happen)?
I did like Clay's reaction. It shows how things can change over time.
5.) Do you have a favorite character so far?
I'm keeping an open mind, but Clay for now.
Bonus: Taking a poll for a very important question. On the Tassel Farm: Centaur or Moose?
Centaur

I am impressed by the speed some of you are able to read.

I'm joining in with TT as I know most (if not all) of you are, so I will definitely be reading a couple of 800+ page books if we get any of those pop up.

I will probably also be starting with Kings of the Wyld. But I might spend the first day finding a book that I enjoy at the very beginning as I have a loooong wait at an airport on Tuesday so I need something to keep me occupied.

I spun the Asian monsters wheel and our next monster is Manman Duck!

I'm about to work my last night of work tonight before I'm off for almost 3 weeks so I will be around more to help and of course hopefully get some good reading done once the challenge starts!

I see you have indicated you'll read for Kings of the Wyld in the BOM section...awesome!
I am travelling on the 3rd which will also include a lot of sitting around so I should be able to get some good reading done, which will include Kings of the Wyld. I will have time on the 2nd to read the first part if I get chosen to do the first day of DQs.
I'm going to put a few books I know I want to read in May on the spreadsheet.

Omg, I never realised that's what it was! I'm even more excited that I'm on this team now as 'ti' is ten in Norwegian (and probably some other European and Scandinavian languages) and as I mentioned, I will be going to Norway next week. I'm going to visit my boyfriend who is Norwegian and lives there so it is very fitting!

My name is Keely and I am from the UK. I currently work night shifts so I'm around the most during the night here. I will be in Norway for the first couple of weeks of the challenge (I travel on the 3rd) but that shouldn't hinder my reading. I am hoping to change jobs so the night shifts thing might not last the whole challenge.
I will read almost any book, or at least give it a go. I tend to prefer books with a bit of mystery or adventure to them. I've been working my way through classics so you will definitely see me read a couple, probably a Dickens as they tend to be nice and long too.
I only set my reading amount to 5 as I will mostly try and stick to longer books for the points. I will of course help out and read shorter books if they are needed or they help us with something we are struggling to find on the minis.
I will also read the BOMs if I can get access to them although I am hesitant about volunteering for DQs, but again I will do it for the team if we need it.
In my free time, I am either playing video games or crafting (mostly cross stitch and knitting) and where I can, I will listen to audiobooks while doing things.
I don't think I've been on a team with anyone here before (forgive me if I am wrong), but feel free to send me a friend request if you want to and I look forward to playing with you all!

Urgh, one of the books I'm going to read soon has a rating of 3.61! 0.01 too much to be used for the task for Snipe!

I'm not counting it in my number as I didn't get that far, but it is one more off my list from 2012.

I'll stop with the posts now.
