35559 I need to update my list. I've read a couple of books off my TBR lately, I just haven't had the time to update challenges. I should have time over the next couple of days
Feb 10, 2023 05:56PM

35559 Good job! I'm stuck at work so I can't check the spreadsheet at the moment, but I should be finishing a few books in the next week and hopefully we will be lucky that they cover some tasks.
Feb 05, 2023 08:09PM

35559 I've got several books on the go. Once I finish one or two of them, I'll start a 800+ page one. Annoyingly, one of my books is 710 pages which is long, but not long enough.
Jan 24, 2023 06:38PM

35559 I'm probably not going to get around to a 800+ book in the next month as I'm already planning to read a 700 page one. Maybe if I whizz through it, but I'm not making any promises.
Jan 23, 2023 02:38AM

35559 I haven't done any over 500 pages. I think one of mine was 200 and something, but I technically started it last year :P

I'm going to be tackling The Iliad. Not quite as long as A Suitable Boy, but still around 700 pages.
Jan 23, 2023 02:32AM

35559 I've been focusing on shorter books this month. I've now read 7. I was hoping for it to be more, but life happened. I still have 27 books on my TBR that are under 100 pages. It would be nice to get them all off this year, but they get forgotten about when team challenges are happening as they are too short to count.

I'm going to try and get a couple more of those short books done by the end of the month. And once February hits, I'll be reading some of my older books.
Jan 21, 2023 10:49AM

35559 I finished a book this week where the authors first name was Lucia, so I have that task covered. I haven't had a chance to look at any others though, but as it was a short book, I suspect it will be the only task it covers. I'll be on my laptop tomorrow updating everything and I'll fill in the spreadsheet then.

35559 I think there is a questions thread. I dont remember what it is called though, which I know isn't very helpful. I think it was something like Monsters Q&A
Jan 19, 2023 08:36PM

35559 I'm thinking of reading that book that Vicky mentioned for the siren. I have 2 audible credits to use so I might as well use one on it. However if I do, I will wait until Uno starts as the cover looks green to me so I'll use it for one of my teams green cards.
Of course if the monster is tackled or mostly tackled by then, I will wait and could read it if we get the Siren again later.
Jan 17, 2023 08:02PM

35559 Unless my team ends up being super organised and get the harder Uno cards covered, then I'll try and find books that will help more with monsters.
Jan 17, 2023 04:45PM

35559 Yeah, I believe the letters are for either name.

I don't really know what the end goal is. Keep going until we've had enough?

I will be reading more next month and when I have time and energy, I'll try and plan some books that fit several tasks. I'm taking part in UNO over in the Perks group so I'll mostly be reading books for tasks there, but I'm sure there will be some cross-over.

35559 In 2022, I managed 12 out of 30. Which was a big improvement on the year before. I'll attempt 30 again. I'll be listing 35 so I have a bit more choice as that seemed to work better for me last year.

35559 Work has really put a hold on my reading so far, but I have read 2 books off my TBR and another 2 I'm about halfway through. I will do a proper update on one of my next days off.
Jan 12, 2023 09:55PM

35559 I promise I will read more soon. All I seem to do at the moment is work and sleep.

I hope you are all well.
Jan 12, 2023 05:16PM

35559 Sorry for the late reply, I've been working all week. I believe we said we would have up to 6 and we currently have 5 so I'd say you are free to join. You'll have to request access to the spreadsheet which Vicky is in charge of I think.
Jan 06, 2023 12:20PM

35559 I also finished my second book last night. It was very short and I doubt it will help with many tasks. I have a day off tomorrow so I am planning on getting some stuff organised, including taking a closer look at these monsters and planning some books.
Jan 05, 2023 01:06PM

35559 Hey Lisa, I could be wrong but I believe a book can only be used for one monster. You've put Hidden Scars in for the Bull and Hydra. As far as I remember, we can use a book for multiple tasks on the same monster, but not for multiple tasks over more than one monster.
Jan 04, 2023 02:37AM

35559 I'm really not good with coming up with names either. I'll be happy to go with whatever.

I've begun my travels for the day. I have a total of three flights, but have already completed one. I'm in Norway as I visited my boyfriend and his family for Christmas but it is time to return home to the UK. The first flight was only about half an hour and I listened to part of a short audiobook. The next flight is about an hour long and then the final one is around 2 hours. Geographically the distance isnt that much, but due to where my boyfriend lives and where I live, this is the easiest way to get between the two places.
I have several hours gaps between flights as I like to allow time for any delays or problems. This means I should be able to get some reading done although I may end up watching a film or two to try and pass time.

I will definitely finish the audiobook I have already started and maybe another shorter one during the actual flights. I would like to get an ebook done as well. I doubt my books will help much with any monsters but they might help make a start.
