Good job team! It's not looking like I will finish any more this round as I have had very little sleep so I'll be spending most of the day catching up on sleep. It's looking like I will be less busy this coming week so I should be able make up for my lack of reading in round 1.

Oooh I have some blue books ready to read so I can definitely cover one or two. I might even manage a mythology book too.

For this round, I started a book that will give us another E (probably some other letters too). I don't think I get anymore books finished in time. I'm about to start my last shift and then I get 6 days off so I should definitely be about to read more next week.

That sounds rough, Alicia. I hope it gets better really soon.

I just started a new audiobook and Gold was mentioned 5 times in just the first chapter! I wrote down the individual times for them. I've got to go to work soon, but when I have time, I'll play around and see if I can get some of those Golds into our meals.

I should finish my first book just before work, but I won't have time to do the completion post. I'll post it at some point tomorrow. There aren't enough hours in the day.

Haha, it's the same with one of my books. It just goes "after breakfast..." and I'm just there like " but what did you have for breakfast?!"

I'm not sure I'm going to manage my weekly quota of 3 books this week because of work. I'm should still manage 2. I'm off most of next week so I should be able to make up for this week, unless I get asked to work extra days again.

Yeah it felt the same for me, I will still coughing for at least 3 weeks and then when the cough finally went away, I still struggled for a while with being short of breath occasionally, especially when going up stairs. I hope your cough goes away quickly and you dont have any lingering symptoms.

I know, but I had my day planned out! And I'm going to have to have a long nap before work as I haven't slept well recently. Too much going on.

I've been asked to work tonight so my plans of a day of reading have gone out the window. I should still get a couple of hours reading time in, but I had hoped to finish my first book today. On the other hand it will be more money for me (literally the only reason I said yes)

I'm also trying to finish my current book, but I'm not sure I'm going to quite make it by the start time. I'll start my next book straight after though if this challenge has already begun by then

I hope Covid hasn't affected you too much. I got it just after last christmas and it was horrible so I hope you've only had mild symptoms, if any.

Honestly, I had never heard of Red Sister before this. I would be happy to read it to see what the fuss is about, even more so if we get bonus points.
I will give pretty much any book a go. I started the year trying to clear off as many books from my TBR that I added in 2012 which was mostly classics. I found that I find many of the classics boring so this latter half of the year has been a right mixture of things.
I'll probably still read at least one classic as I still have some longer ones to get through and what better motivation to read them than lots of points for my team!

I'm Keely, one of your co-captains. This will be my first time being a co-captain, but I am here to help.
I am from the UK but I currently work part time on night shifts so I will be online all sorts of hours but mostly when it is daytime in the US.

I've already planned out a red book to begin with, but I'm not sure if it has any E's. And I don't think I own any Space Operas, but I do have Audible Plus so if anyone knows of any on there, I could probably get one read.

Anyway enough from me now. I'll add a link to my shelf a bit later as I am currently on my phone, but I am looking forward to playing with you all!

Also, I must apologise again. I've read nowhere near as much as I should have. I just don't know where the time keeps going! I'm working right now but I've got the next three nights off so hopefully I can catch up a bit then.

I remember seeing that, but never tried it. Me and vodka don't get along very well.

I've seen edible gold used in cakes and chocolates too. I can't say I've actually tried anything with it on. I dont really see the point if it's going to cost me more and it doesn't actually add to the flavour. If I were to use it in things I make myself for guests then that would be a different story :p
