I will definitely be reading it, but will probably not be able to stick to the schedule

I still have no internet. The engineer that came to fix it today said it was to do with the phone line which is a different company. They won't be able to come until Wednesday. At least my work has wifi.

My WiFi at home has decided to break. The provider is sending out an engineer, but it won't be until Saturday. The most annoying thing is that I am now on my days off and will be back ar work Saturday night.

Luckily, I have several audio books and many ebooks downloaded on my ipad. I do also have phone data I can use to download more if I need to, but that is limited.

I might give up on Ivanhoe. I'm not enjoying it and it is a long time to listen to something I'm not enjoying. I started listening to Men at Arms by Terry Pratchett instead as it was ready to read and I didn't have time to search for a better fitting book as I'm at work.

If have a couple of days off after tonight so I will look for better suited books to listen to on my next lot of shifts.

I've gotten into the habit of putting the month as a shortened version of the word, that way it is harder to confused. So regardless of if it shows up at 12 Oct or Oct 12, people can easily see the what the month is supposed to be.

But as each round is only 2 weeks, I'm sure we will know the 10 in the date is the month.

After having a quick look at the spreadsheet, we have one white book finished and 4 more claimed which means we are good for the white covers.
For instruments, we already have 7 finished books with instruments in! And we have over what we need remaining claimed! Which means we don't really need to worry about instruments, but keep an eye out just in case.

It just hit midnight here in the UK. I'm on my first break at work.

I finished my first book earlier and I've started my second. The second might take me a bit longer to finish as despite it being short in pages than the first, the audio book is longer. I hope to get it done before my days off on Thursday.

@Fiona, don't worry about being slower. We all read at different paces and have different lifestyles. Every book helps in the end :)

Well done those who have already finished books! And for those that haven't, don't panic, there is still plenty of time.

It looks like it will take me a bit longer to finish my first book. I've been very busy at work so I haven't had a chance to listen. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it tomorrow.

It should be fine as long as it is a direct translation to an instrument on the list. I've asked the captain group to confirm this. We'll let you know when there is a response. For now, if you have found one, I suggest making a note of it.

I've started my first book while at work. I might be able to finish it today, if not it will get done tomorrow. I'm getting my white book out of the way first and then I've got some longer books on my TBR that I would like to read.

I finally got around to adding my books to the SS. It looks like we have 4 out of 5 white books planned which is great! As I mentioned previously, I have another one I can read if needed but I want to give everyone a chance to claim.

I'm not going to add anymore to the spreadsheet for now. I should be able to read more, but I will see what we need when I have read the ones on the SS.

I'm looking forward to the start of the challenge.

Great! I will definitely participate in all of them as I have audible credits I have been saving if my local library app doesn't have them.

Yeah, I can't say I really like Rincewind at the moment. But I want to read more before making a final conclusion.

I definitely have enjoyed it more than The Light Fantastic which I read recently too. But I remember there being talk in Tower Teams that that one wasn't all that good so I kept that in mind.

I am currently working my way through the Discworld books. They have been on my TBR since Tower Teams in 2021. My local library app finally got almost the whole series. The problem is that I have to wait to loan some of them. I was going to go chronological, but now I'm just going by sub-series with whichever book next in that sub-series I can get a hold of first.

I'm about to finish Wyrd Sisters which will only leave me with 39 more Discworld books to get through. I definitely do not expect to get through them all this year, but it will be part of my goal next year.
