I've been toying with the idea of a second dog for Marlowe, but the thought of having to watch to make sure he learns about the pool and starting over with all the training is daunting in the midst of all these deadlines.

But Marlowe wants to play ALL THE TIME and I know he's a little bored and a little lonely when I'm working (which is also ALL THE TIME)

Yes, instead of just punishment, finding some way to make reparation. To give back to society, to use their skills (I mean, everyone has SOME skill, some useful knowledge) to do something positive and good to repay their debt. Versus sitting in a cell which does no one any good.

Our prison system is truly appalling.

Ugh. This is just infuriating.

I hate cheapness.

It's one thing to be frugal--to be smart about spending money. I could use a bit more wisdom with my finances. But to have money and to be ungenerous -- to place money above relationships or the well-being of others?

That's someone who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Ouch.

I'm not sure how Trump could be much worse. I guess we might find out if he's re-elected.

34844 Best thing about today was the feeling of centeredness I get working in the garden. Everything is kind of a wreck after the winter--I lost pretty much everything in pots--but as I start cleaning up and replanting and restringing lights... Everything seems to fall into place.

I think most of the shorts are now collected in the print collection of So This is Christmas? Or maybe that's just the IngramSpark edition? But yes, collecting everything is very doable.
