I can see the mechanics of paying second-hand royalties could be tricky, but it seems like the right thing to do.
I'm bemused by readers who try to argue the price of a book should be based on the how the book is produced. A ream of blank paper is about the price of an mass market paperback, but they're hardly the same thing.

I read both of those articles last week. Very interesting. The first in particular. I have two thoughts. To criticize or challenge is not to cancel. I see the two equated way too often. I haven't read much during the pandemic- I've found it so hard to sit down and read... I did finally finish a book (took about two months) that I did enjoy even though it took me ..."
I had the same difficulty--to be honest, I'm not quite past it yet, but I've started buying books again, so that's (probably?) a good sign.

Yeah, great, Josh, three points. 🙄
I'm rereading The Hell You Say for one of the other categories, though, and that one has tons ..."

It's just a quiet, ordinary, productive day. I want to remember to be grateful for all the quiet, ordinary, productive days -- it's too easy to take them for granted. :-)

It turns out that the shut off valve to my house doesn't shut off the water supply to my hot water heater (no, I can't explain it either), so I had to get ..."
I feel you on the plumbing problems! <3

Awwww. <3

Right? Some of the decline in indie bookstores was definitely self-inflicted.
