I can see the mechanics of paying second-hand royalties could be tricky, but it seems like the right thing to do.

I'm bemused by readers who try to argue the price of a book should be based on the how the book is produced. A ream of blank paper is about the price of an mass market paperback, but they're hardly the same thing.

I read both of those articles last week. Very interesting. The first in particular. I have two thoughts. To criticize or challenge is not to cancel. I see the two equated way too often. Secondly, as much as I detest those ideas and beliefs not in line with my own (partly kidding, of course) refusing to publish because those ideas and beliefs are offensive to me and mine is a very slippery slope.

It's really frightening when anything goes wrong with the dogs because they can't communicate. And I could tell Marlowe was frightened too. He kept trying to run away with his little tail between his legs. :-( It was awful.

I had the same difficulty--to be honest, I'm not quite past it yet, but I've started buying books again, so that's (probably?) a good sign.
