Gabriel's power was plants, this didn't give good boding. Rather-Fellow, who had been under the bed, searching gave a yell.

There was an eerie stillness to the air. Then she saw it. Neatly placed like everything else in the cabin the blanket over the bed had been folded onto it without a single wrinkle, there was not a blemish except for the bright red cracked stain covering half of the blanket.

Finally Feerie nodded "Naomi's grandson has sided with the Myst. This is grave. I don't see many things pleasant for our future." She muttered.
Then she nodded, "I'll keep my side of the deal." she said. "The Imps were of the ice blue kind. They had the symbols of the Gods on them, which is common enough, but they were Black symbols on blue, not the normal white on black. Also they all had the mad eye."
Rather-Fellow paused and thought. "That's. . .The cabin, where we left Gabriel. Those Imps are ones that usually come from there. It's strange, Naomi never had any trouble from them." A worried look crossed his face.

Rather-Fellow nonchalantly ignored the glare this time though anyone could tell he was suppressing the urge to do something in the prank way now that he had returned to his imp form, "I need a full and complete description of the imps. Any symbols, markings, constant details in each of them is what I need."
Feerie stopped for a moment, contemplating. After a moment she looked at the both of them again, "I remember but I'm not going to tell you until you agree to some terms." she said this with a strong, determined look. This woman wouldn't budge, not easily.

Rather-Fellow glanced behind her at the still simmering nurse, "Unfortunately we have to take her to find Calum." he said.
The nurse looked surprised at his statement, then suspicious. "If it will help Calum I'll do it." she said, "But one wrong move and I slit that demon's neck." she hissed.
"Like I'd doing anything." Rather-Fellow stuck his tongue out at her and hid behind Derey, turning back to his imp form.

"I beg your pardon." said Rather-Fellow indignantly, "I am not a Chaos Demon. I'm a Chaos Imp."
The woman tried to run at Rather-Fellow again, "Age old Demon, that's what you are! You're a demon made by the Gods that has plagued this land for centuries! It was your kind that conspired with The Myst to kill all of us."
Rather-Fellow took a step back, honest hurt on his face, "but. . ." he said quietly.
"It was your kind that tricked the Prince into going to Taylor instead of going with the original plan!" She screamed, "You're all monsters!"
Rather-Fellow snapped back, "Imps tricked the Prince. Then. . ." he trailed off and turned back to Derey, ignoring the still angry glare of the nurse.
"I think I know where they might have taken him." He said with determination in his eyes.

Taylor shook her head again. Why did she feel so angry. Angry at Calum for telling her she was a Guardian. Angry at herself, she had no choice. Calum's words rang in her ears again. "You're a coward." Would the person she had been before have acted the way she was? She gritted her teeth and shook her head again. It didn't matter, she was who she was now, and she wanted to survive.

The nurse's eyes widened as she saw Rather-Fellow. With cat-like reflexes she drew a dagger and whipped around, pinning Rather-Fellow to a tree and threatening him with a dagger, "Demon." she said with the anger of someone who had reached her limit.

They were inside a small cavern. Calum sitting on the floor by the wall and Taylor on the other side.
Taylor was rummaging through a bag, adding things in, and taking things out. She reached in and took out a necklace with a ruby pendant. His eyes widened. "Your a Guardian." he said, calm fury riddling it.
Taylor glanced at him, "What?"
He nodded at the pendant, "That's a Gemstone. It's glowing, You're a Guardian. Why is a Guardian working for the Myst?"
Taylor glanced at the pendant. "Guardian, huh?" she chuckled, "So that's what I was."
Calum's eyes locked onto Taylor's. "What do you mean?"
Taylor raised the pendant into the air and allowed it to drop, "What I was. . .no longer matters. You see, I died a horrible death. Thrown to the bottom of a high pit I broke every bone in my body, and yet I still was alive. Alive enough for them to trap my own soul in my dying body and chain my soul there when I was dead. This body no longer has a beating heart. If I make the wrong move my soul is destroyed. I will cease to exist. That is why." she said harshly as she stepped on the fallen jewel and ground it into the soil. Calum's face was dark as he watched her.
She turned around and was about to leave through the entrance of the cavern when Calum spoke. "You're a coward."
She turned around and looked incredulously at him, "Fight against the Myst's hold. Don't just give up like some half hearted human being. Fight." His eyes bored into her, "Your predecessors have done just as much, risked more and lost it in the fight against the Myst. How dare you disrespect them by giving up so easily."
Taylor stood in the doorway, looking back at Calum. Finally she smiled, "I'm no Leila."
Calum startled, "You know Leila?" then the hand that had been reaching from the shadow raised a stone and smashed it into his skull. He crumpled and fell to the ground. Taylor looked at him with empty eyes and turned away, pack slung across her shoulder. A large rock slid of it's own doing across the entrance, closing so that not even the strongest man could move it.

Soon they reached a tunnel that opened outside. Smoke streamed out after them, as well as heat. She was outside a smooth hill. The desert she had seen across the dark cliffs appearing a ways into the distance. "She took him!" coughed the nurse. "Taylor kidnapped Prince Calum."
