Evee’s comments from the The World I Want to Create *Roleplaying* group.

The woman were kind. You could see it in their eyes. They weren't the fighting type. With much cooing and gentleness Derey's arm was bandaged and she was led down a tunnel and through a veritable maze. Finally she came to a center cavern. Many people were there. All sorts of tasks were being carried out and everyone was busy. Many of these people had a determined look. The look of someone who had to protect something. After a while she was led to a smaller chamber where the nurses continued to inspect her. Derey'd seen no sign of the silver haired young man since he'd disappeared. One of the nurses left and soon returned. She shook her head to the other one. "Poor thing." she clucked.

It was then that two woman appeared. The young man with silver hair had disappeared. One woman came to her, kneeling beside her she clucked. "Poor thing. He's a bit rough, that one."
The other one nodded. "We'll take care of that one, miss. Don't you worry."
The first one picked up her things. "I'll carry this for you so you wont hurt yourself more. Right this way." she said with a smile.

Inside the cloth there was a rather scrambled reply. "The number. . . you have reached. . . is either. . . out of the area or. . . disconnected. . . please try again. . . .my head is spinning."

The man gave a sarcastic laugh. "Come on little girl." he said. "You've passed." He looked annoyed but started to walk. He turned around and looked at her again. "Taylor is waiting for you." his hands were in his pockets and there was a cold look to his eyes, but not dangerous, simply annoyed.

There was popping sound and the world flew. The man had dislocated his arm. Using his right knee he pinned her down to the ground and with his bloody right hand he held her arms in another pin. Just as suddenly he let go of her arms. She glimpsed a vague shimmering sword in his hands. With force, while she was still pinned to the ground he drove it through her.

A cold sensation filled the center of her where the top of her ribs were. It petrified her because it was as if the pure essence of ice had penetrated her with the shimmering sword. Then it was gone and the pressure on her back was lifted. No wound remained.

He grabbed her fan just as it touched his back. His hand bled but he seemed not to care. With a wrench he twisted her hand painfully causing the fan to fly and land a few feet behind them both.

Suddenly he was behind her. He hit the small of her back with the hilt of his sword, sending her careening forward. She was dangerously close the the edge of the pit.

He simply nodded. His sword was set, "Are you ready?"

He is blind.

The man turned around. The other seemed to have disappeared after they stopped. He pulled down his black hood and mask revealing himself. A tall heavy shouldered young man, the strange thing was. . .his hair was a pale silver. Now Derey had seen silver hair before, on Rather-Fellow, but there was a difference. Rather-Fellow was a immortal being. A being created personally by the Gods. This young man then drew his sword. In a beautiful almost melodic voice he spoke, "Who I am is none of your concern. All you need to know now is that I'm challenging you to a battle. No tricks, no back-stabbing, and no magic. If all these terms are met and you defeat me I will tell you where your friend is. If not. . ." He left his words hanging.

Across craggy ground cracked and loose they led, traveling a long time until they reached a set of black cliffs. They were at the top and far, far below them was only black.

The darkness was thick. It was just the single light, only spread across a few feet leaving an abyss of black unknown at the edges of the eyes. Still, they continued on.

Blue, cold eyes shimmered but they made no answer, turning away into the darkness.

When she reached the ground all the other lights had disappeared, only the two black cloaked figures remained.

Rather-Fellow's voice echoed out again, "Just because I'm not physically present doesn't mean I can't fight." something like a raspberry followed.

Two people, covered completely in black appeared beneath her tree. One held a lantern, the person raised it above their head and looked up at Derey, "Come." was all said.

Rather-Fellow suddenly seemed balloon light. "I'm more than capable of flying through the air by myself." he said with a grin. Suddenly he was gone. Somewhere inside her cloak a muffled voice came from where Derey had the white stone, "Now this is more comfortable isn't it?" he said slyly.

There was a scream, and that's when lights appeared all around them, dim, and barely visible they shimmering eerily in the darkness.

"Maybe we should call out to her?" Rather-Fellow said.

Rather-Fellow squinted trying to make out anything in the heavy condensation in front of them. "Be careful." he repeated, this time more seriously.
