Rather-Fellow helped her up and grinned, "Be careful." he said. Then, when they looked up they realized that they couldn't see very far ahead, and. . .Taylor was gone.

What Derey had done seemed to have spooked Taylor, for a while she didn't speak but simply continued on, passing the ruin. The air grew thick and it seemed that you could take a knife and cut it. The air seemed to have colored and darkened. Unexpectedly the land slanted and the grass, wet, made Derey slip.

Taylor's eyes settled on it instantly, suspicious. "We don't do that here." she said stiffly, "Not if we don't want to be followed." she said a little sharply.

Taylor's eyes sparked as she moved on. "Somewhere." she said with a smile. It grew dark as they moved on. It was strangely silent and Taylor's corn colored hair seemed to stand on end in the humidity. After a time they came to a large stone ruin.

Taylor grinned seeming to liven up. "Follow me then." she said and moved off into the green of the forest on the edge of town.

Rather-Fellow grinned and stuck out his hand to her. She looked at it suspiciously and turned away. "Obviously we can't take you in unless we are sure of your loyalties. There will be a test. Are you willing?"

Rather-Fellow looked nervous, "A Guardian against the guardians. I wonder what happened to her stone? Does she still have her powers?" he glanced at Taylor again, "We might as well find out."

Rather-Fellow shook his head, "It's not just that. The way she's acting it's as if she doesn't even know you."

Rather-Fellow frowned, "I thought you said she was your friend." he whispered, "What's with the cold look?"

Rather-Fellow cursed, "None." then he sighed. "Lets go."

Rather-Fellow glanced at Taylor again. "Are you sure you can trust her? Strange things have been happening. . ."

Rather-Fellow glanced at the impatient woman beside the stand a few blocks down, "Who's Taylor?"

Rather-Fellow appeared around the corner. He frowned, "Why the pale face?"

Seeing Driden will lead you to some secrets about the stone and searching for answers about Joey will lead you to something specific about why Naomi is accusing you.))

The crowd remained silent and very quickly they walked away. Taylor's eyes grew angry. Jumping down from her box she turned to Derey. "Follow me."
