He grabbed Derey by the hand. Running into the room that she had opened. Inside she saw Calum, collapsed by the side of the wall. His hands were bound and a small stream of dried blood stood out on the left side of his head. Rather-Fellow shook, "We have to get him and get out of here."
He was frantic, pushing her towards Calum. "No time." he whispered, "No time. The blood, the blood moon has rose and the darkness is slowly taking over all of the guardians." He whimpered. "The fortuneteller foresees that no one will survive. Especially the one who defeated him before."

When she stopped the shadow writhed, roiling angrily and disappearing into Feerie's skin. She collapsed and lay on the ground, her mouth open slightly and her eyes staring blankly, black.

She screeched again madly, her eyes glazing over as she struggled. "Calum is all that matters." She said falling to her knees.

The next moment Derey was fine. In front of her Feerie shook, the darkness engulfing her. She screamed with pain and rage, her eyes going black.

"I battled against Lila more than once but she always was reserved. She had restraint, but this, it gives me a bad feeling."
Rather-Fellow shook his head again, "I really don't know. You'll have to decide for yourself."

Rather-Fellow moved to touch it but then jumped back shivering and giving a soft little hoot. "That's cold." He said. "It feels like. . .essence? How is that possible? It feels new."

Rather-Fellow looked solemnly at her and turned away leading them down the tunnels. That's when they heard the tapping of someone coming down the walk-way. Rather-Fellow jerked them into a dark opening they hadn't seen before and they stayed there, silent. A small light came down the hallway, illuminating the small tunnel. A strong-jawed face came down, looking like a disconnected head in the air because of the lighting. It was Taylor. As she came closer they saw her face in more detail. Her eyes were an unnatural shade of green and her face a slightly sweaty, as if she had a fever. Her hand gripped the torch she held tightly and her movements were stiff.
Right in front of their hiding spot she stopped suddenly, coughing violently. Something came up her throat and she spat on the floor. It was blood. She looked at it for a moment and then shook her head, turning away and moving farther down the hall.

Feerie tensed again. Underneath her breath she growled something unintelligible to anyone who wasn't next to her, which Derey was, "Monster." she said like a curse.

"If I did this right and we're in the ground section than it's most likely that Calum will be directly underneath us." he said in a low whisper.
Feerie tensed as he spoke, making no sound, but Derey could definitely sense deep anger welling in her.

Rather-Fellow nodded and then grinned, "But the fastest way to get there. . ."
Feerie turned green and her grip tightened on her chair. Even so her face kept a fairly composed look, "Fine." she said.
As the dawn light started to show they moved on. The room melted around them and when they arrived they were welcomed with pitch black darkness.

He smiled softly, "We have our first clue Derey. Those Red Stinger mean that the chaos imps Ferie told us about are involved. They made them."
He stood and held out his hand for her, "Now we just need to get inside their mountain without being noticed and look around." He grinned, "Not so hard, eh?"

Then his eyes widened, "In fact I don't fink I've theen one of those things thince the theeling of the mytht."

He snorted in pain, ineffectively trying to get the small scorpion-like creature away from him.
Rather-fellow's eyes teared as he grabbed it and pulled. Finally the small creatures grip was torn off, taking with is a rather large portion of Rather-Fellow's nose.
Finally getting a good look at the creature Rather-Fellow yelped again and threw it across the room. "Great Goddess Ilandere!" he cried.
