Belenos stood up with pained look in his eyes. "Am I playing with her head?" He wondered. He glanced to the side. Laurel stepped out, her weapon was hooked at her side and she looked apprehensive.

"Do we really have to leave all of this up to her?" She said. "I'm a guardian too. She could end up making the wrong choice and getting us all killed."

Belenos raised a brow. "She has to. Otherwise we'll never be able to trust her, considering the origin of her stone. This is the only way to do it. The Guardians are running terribly low. If we can't count on her assistance we'll die anyway."

Laurel folded her arms, tense. On her wrist was a leather band and sewed into that band was a pearl. She touched it and then nodded. Then both of them vanished.

He smiled again that fiendish tint coming into his eyes again. "Follow the smell of trouble and I'm sure you'll find something."

Belenos left his eyes closed, "I don't know. My initial reason for coming here was to find him and Calum but I was only able to confirm Calum's location." He paused, "You might want to hurry. At midnight the ceremony ends. About half an hour from now."

He was silent for a moment, "They're about to kill Driden."

He chuckled, "Fine. Gabriel Weiren. Flute player and right hand man to The Myst itself."

He closed his eyes, "Are you sure?"

His lips tilted up, "It would tear you apart. Though the expression on your face would be interesting."

He started laughing, "What if I told you one of the people around you was a fake, a betrayer. What would you say? What if I told you that that person was responsible for Taylor's death and change? What if I told you that he's responsible for Driden's disappearance and betrayal?" He laughed, "Would you believe me or am I just trying to play with your head?"

He sighed, "My young girl you seem to have had a misunderstanding. I have always been trying to tell you something. You just have lacked the necessary will to listen."

He looked into her eyes, serious. "But are you ready to listen?"

He stretched, though it was short, "And what would you like to know? I know a great casserole if your hungry."

In a few moments his startling purple eyes opened. He moved a little and realizing the situation he smiled, "Good morning. Guardian Opal."

He groaned a bit, starting to move.

Rather-Fellow eyed her with a side long glance, pausing a second and then nodded. He touched Calum and in an instant they were gone.

((Lol. Welcome.))

He looked grimly at Derey, "Here's our chance to find out what's going on." He said quietly.

(Rather-Fellow stood, swaying. :) ))

From their corner of the room they saw Belenos enter. His eyes scanned from side to side and he frowned, "Where is he?" He started to turn towards them. Rather-Fellow lept upon him, in elf form, and slammed two fisted hard onto the back of Belenos's skull. He stood up, swaying.

The sound of his treading feet came down the hall. Rather-Fellow grabbed Derey's arm, pulling her into the dark. "We need to avoid conflict." He hissed.

((Gabriel likes her. He thinks she is brave and that she stands up for what she believes in. Two admirable traits in his mind. He isn't that much older than her you know. He has a crush on her.))

Rather-Fellow's eyes lit up. "What?" He said, "He's a Guardian? But. . ." At that moment the screech of bats pierced the air. Yelling was heard down the hall and a familiar voice echoed around them, "What's going on?" It was Belenos.

He closed his eyes, "Their sacrifice could be a number of people, but the person has to be one thing. A Guardian. It could be one that we haven't met, it could be Naomi. . . "

He trailed off and took a deep breath, trying to pull a smile onto his face, "It could be someone we know." he said weakly.

Rather-Fellow hesitated, "I mean that their going to be sacrificing someone tonight, and directly after they'll be planning to take Calum's soul and use his body to unseal The Myst."

He hesitated again. He knew something more.
