Somewhere else Taylor had almost made it to the top of the hole. Reaching for the edge she grasped a plant. The plant came out of the ground as smoothly as silk. Taylor fell. Back on the ground of the pit she thought of the military men she knew and all the words they had taught her.

Naomi closed her eyes, "You have to do something other than feed it knowledge boy, think." she whispered

The turtle backed away cautiously again as soon as it finished, but not quite as cautiously as before.

The turtle took the jacket and munched happily.

You think it's funny. You think it's hilarious don't you. . .Naomi scowled and whirled around ready to give Belenos a piece of her mind. She froze and a green feeling filled her. It had been nearly 80 years since she had thought of those times, had done something like this. Her face creased in a frown. These children were bringing back memories that would make her weak. She'd have to be extra on guard. She couldn't be weak, ever.

She called out to Ethan. "That isn't a dino Ethan. It's an evolved version we have of the brontasauros. It eats silk."

"Those clothes designers. . ." Naomi muttered darkly.

It sniffed him and then took a bite out of his shirt.

It stared at him and then growled.

Then she said quietly, "You don't have to you know. If you give up I can send you back right now."

Naomi ignored them both. She started to sing. She sang towards Ethan and the giant animal. Then she spoke, "Ethan this is your final. You have to befriend it."

Naomi's nails dug into her skin until they bled but her face betrayed nothing.

"If he's the one he'll find a way to save himself. If not. . ."

She didn't even bother looking at Derey, "He activated the stone's defence system. It starts a test to see if the person is the right one for the stone. No interfering is allowed."

Naomi lifted her staff and Derey froze completely. She walked over to Derey and took the stone, "This is not a toy." she hissed. Her hands started to formed a sign but then she stopped and shook her head. "The test has already started I'm not allowed to stop it now." She scowled and unfroze Derey.

The same time that Ethan found the stone a giant Green moth appeared swooped down and plucked him off the ground.

Naomi scowled, "The two of you are going to get yourselves killed."
