32418 HEIDI: I finished it and it's good. Its pretty interesting as far as the mystery goes.

ODA: Oooo..I have that book too! I just couldn't start it. Just the thought of someone else writing Poirot, besides the queen of mystery, is scary.

ANNA: just finished that book...Girl of Nightmares. I still wasn't sold on the romance part O_O

32418 cool. I'll grab it before someone else does!

32418 Currently reading...
The Night She Disappeared by April Henry

I was so sure I've read this book, but now that I'm half way into it I seriously don't remember anything about it

32418 HEIDI: Of course, how could I forget Jacky!

I had a feeling Anne would be one of your pick! ^_^

32418 ODA: It's actually not that scary and I'm a super scaredy cat. I'm not forcing you to read it, just letting you know in case you're interested ^_^

32418 ASHLEY: ah yes! I totally forgot Alanna!

32418 ODA: Thanks ^_^

Not an original idea, but I'm happy you're liking it!

32418 I haven't read any of these books that you recommended, except for Dash & Lily's Book of Dares.

Romance is really not my genre of choice. I can literally count those I've read with my fingers and I would still have fingers left over.

32418 Let's be honest with ourselves, sometimes what makes a great book is a great hero/heroine. I especially love female protagonists who are kick ass and willing to fight for their beliefs!

Please list your top 5 (or if you have more than 5) book heroine of all time!

Here is my list:
1. Hermoine from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
2. Katsa from Graceling
3. Katniss from The Hunger Games
4. Josie from Out of the Easy
5. Jackie from Bloody Jack: Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy

I'm pretty sure I have more female protagonists that I LOVE, but I just don't remember them. Anyways I'm sure many of you will list those I forgot ^_^

32418 hahahaha...I second that Heidi! I wasn't a fan of either books or movie.
Feb 07, 2015 02:48PM

32418 eh. I just read it cause the book is a duology. So might as well.

Actually in fairness this scared me more than Anna Dressed in Blood did.

32418 Just finished...
Girl of Nightmares (Anna, #2) by Kendare Blake

It was ok, still a weird concept, but it was readable.

Might need sometime to rest...hahahaha...

32418 Ok, I've been having the contemporary romance bug these past few days. I don't really know why, maybe its the February air, but I need help!

I need recommendations on any romantic books. No sad endings please, I don't mind if there are some sad parts in the book, but ultimately I want a Disney ending.

It would also be really cool if the story is set in one day. Yea I know, I'm being weird. I'm just having weird book cravings like Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist or Graffiti Moon or Let It Snow.

Those three are actually the only contemporary romance books I've read (that I could remember). Yea, romance is really not my genre. So please, please help!

32418 I really like Far Far Away as well. The creepiness of it was the subtlety of it. O_O Ack!

I listened to it on audio and liked it a lot that I bought the book after.

32418 BRIGID: I picture you doing Mr. Burn's "Excellent" gesture as you whisper "lots of pressure"

hahahahahaha...

Anyways, I have Sorta like a Rock Star in my library. Not saying pick that, its all up you. Like Atlas holding the world!

32418 OMG Jenny! You are a crazy lady reader! I can't even keep track of half of the books you're reading. Ack!
Feb 02, 2015 11:23AM

32418 aww....Oda! Sometimes I know how you feel. Especially when it comes to getting cheap or free shipping & handling!
Feb 02, 2015 11:21AM

32418 I thought it would come by February, unfortunately people are taking their time. I put it on hold when I knew for sure it was Anna's choice.
Feb 01, 2015 07:40PM

32418 I might not be able to get to read this one. There's only 1 ebook available in my library and I'm the second in line.
