hahahaha...Jenny I think everyone agrees with your thoughts on it being cheesy. I still can't get over Electroclan!

oooo...read game. It was really good!
finished reading...
this was pretty good...a reversed Romeo and Juliet story

Don't worry, Brigid, the year is still young! ^_^

ACK! MANCHEE...
(view spoiler)[my heart still breaks every time I hear his name! (hide spoiler)]oooo...then I should also add Thrice B and Manchee to my list, for honorable mention of furry friends as well.

Watching everyone here go through books so fast is so amazing! I have no clue how you guys do it.
Taking a much needed break for March ^_^ Yea, I know I didn't read much, but my brain feels fuzzy. I think it's all the cold weather we're getting here up north. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for warmer weather. I'd take -10 I don't care just as long as it's not -40, I'm getting cabin fever!

HEIDI: ooo...yes! I totally forgot Roc from the Dwellers series. He's a definitely tie to Mark and Courtney on my Pendragon series!
Ostin too is great!
I think any friend who is willing to risk their own life for the hero is a great sidekick! They're like the unsung heroes.

Borrowing from Tommy's suggestions. I think this is a cool one.
Our heroes always need someone to guide them, cheer them on and most of the time, help kick ass the villain. Who are your top 5 favorite Sidekick?
My list:
1. Samwise Gamgee from Lord of the Rings Trilogy
2. Ron and Hermoine from Harry Potter Series
3. Grover from the Percy Jackson Series
4. Mark and Courtney from The Pendragon series
5. Howie from I Hunt Killers Trilogy

nice pick, Brigid!

thanks Heidi! Now just to keep it up the whole year! Now that's the challenge!

Yup, that was the turning point for me too!

Another one bites the dust...
Finished...

better to be moving like a snail, than stuck on a nail. hahahahaha...sorry it's been a long week. ^_^

Good list guys!
TOMMY: Luna will be awesome to hang out with. Good list!
JENNY: OMG! Yes! How can I forget the Weasley family, especially the twins!
HEIDI: Thumbs up on Will Grayson, will grayson crew!

I second Heidi's remark.

Like I said previously, Heidi, you are definitely a Rock star! I was bored out of my skull on the first few chapters, but then THAT turning point! It was worth the mind-numbing snoozefest!
I enjoyed the last part so much that my rating went from 1 star to 5 stars and finished listening to the audio into the wee hours of the night(or morning if we are being technical). Any book that can make me cry is totally worth the read. True? true!
I'm glad you picked this as a hidden gem and i will definitely recommend it to anyone who likes a good read. Word!
(view spoiler)[My favorite part was the variety show. It was so heart warming and so beautiful to see all those people just lift her up when she started to doubt her life.
B Thrice totally stole my heart. All I was thinking about was "OMG if Heidi recommended a book where someone dies I will so totally freak!" I'm glad I was wrong.
I have to admit tho, Amber totally annoyed me in the beginning. All I kept thinking about is, nobody can be THAT optimistic, but now that I think about it. It's nice to think that someone can really be that optimistic.
When she was being a "cat" that aggravated me too. I mean seriously, the poor old man walk the flights of stairs (that could have literally killed him) and she was so mean! I get the reason why the author added that tidbit, but that was so out of character. I have never personally experienced a tragedy that Amber faced, but I don't think that an overly optimistic person, a genuinely nice person, like Amber, would ever do that, grief or no grief. So that part of the story kinda threw me off.
The whole scenario with Frank still kinda grated me. I think if I was in Amber's position, I would have totally blown up on him and never speak to him again. But then again I'm not as nice as Amber.
The ending was, like I said, beautiful! I love how everything in her life, that she showed kindness to, all came together and how they became intertwined because of Amber. (hide spoiler)]

I will have to do my super slow read on this series then.

Most likely I will grab the next few book, it's a 6 part series, right?

Just finished this book. I looked at the rest of the book at my bookstore and I'm surprised this is in the YA section. I totally thought this would be classified as middle grade.
Anyways, it was a pleasant read! I think I want to continue reading the series. I want to see what happens to the Electroclan! OMG, that name...it's so freaking cheesy! Whatever, if cheesy sells, then give me more cheesy ^_^
I think I've never cheered as hard as I did, when
(view spoiler)[Nichelle got shocked. I don't know if its evil of me, but I think it was the best part of the whole book (hide spoiler)]ANNA: great pick!
