32418 David, Heidi is the best for audiobook recommendations! She's the one who recommended Graceling to me. Every since then I started enjoying audio books and have always come to rely on Heidi's tastes in books, audio or not!

32418 Thank God I wasn't old enough to even wear them! 80's fashion was a hit and miss! I hope shoulder pads doesn't make a come back!

32418 don't worry guys! I'm just scratched the surface of this Top 5!

Heidi: I know what you mean. I might check out this Throne of Glass trilogy. ACK! I think this Top 5 is both a good and bad idea!

Actually there are major debate going on if HP is considered high fantasy. I really don't consider books that have our world High Fantasy, but HP I'll make an exception. It's in my top everything!

Jenny: I love how you narrow your choices with 4 other honorable mentions!

32418 DAVID: I don't consider HP High Fantasy either, but I had no other choice for the 5th one.

32418 This one is pretty self explanatory. List your top 5 High/Epic Fantasy books.

Those that don't really understand what High/Epic fantasy is, basically its fantasy novels that is set in a different "world", but not extra-terrestrial. I hope I'm making myself clear, if not just Google it up, that's what I did or maybe someone else can describe it in more details.

An example would be Lord of the Rings.

Here are mine (these are in no particular order)
1. Song of the Lioness Series By Tamora Pierce
2. The Queen's Thief By Megan Whalen Turner
3. Harry Potter By J.K. Rowling
4. Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit By J.R.R. Tolkien
5. GRaceling Realm By Kristin Cashore

32418 ODA: Yea, I think eventually it became a YA, but it's still in my MG shelf in my bookstore.

TOMMY: I only have two more books left. and YES, I knew he wrote them. I totally agree that it should come back. I loved that show, especially with the doll and dollhouse. ACK!

The midnighters was ok for me. I just read the first one tho.

32418 ooo...another book I can recommend is the Pendragon series. I mean it's not YA, but I really enjoyed the whole series. Well I still need to read two more books of it.

The Merchant of Death (Pendragon, #1) by D.J. MacHale
This is the first book

32418 you can always read...
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, #1) by Douglas Adams

but then again its not YA.

Boooo...I just realize I don't know a lot of YA sci-fi, thats not dystopian!

32418 ANNA: I think the only thing I really liked in Girl of Nightmares was the suicide forest. That was way too creepy!
