It was a hard choice between Marc and Julian. lol

29443 Hard to pick but I'm gonna try.

I'd call my book "MINE"

In no particular order
1. Julian (Hard Evidence)
2. Diaz (Cry No More)
3. Jax (Simply Irresistible)
4. Duncan (Honor's Splendour)
29443 I like the slow and sensual love scenes. Lots of foreplay. But for a romance that is not erotica then I prefer and expect the more traditional missionary style.
29443 I read this back in August but I'll comment anyway. ☺
I really enjoyed this one. I loved the characters. Both the hero and heroine were likable. There were some interesting secondary characters, including Ewan's brothers who have their own stories and Crispin was a jewel. I know it was compared to Julie Garwood and I did see some similarities. Mostly, in the cute and witty banter between the hero and heroine. I think it measures up favorably the the genre for me. Not sure how accurate it was historically but as long as there are no glaring mistakes I'm okay with it. I have read the entire series and loved them all. I gave it 5 stars and would definitely recommend it.

29443 I only keep 4 or 5 star books that I feel I will want to read again. A lot of 4 or 5 stars will get donated or traded if I don't think I'll reread them. I love Romantic Suspense/Mystery novels but I don't keep a lot of them because I doubt I'll read them again.

I have my sony ereader but I love my paperbacks and will grab a PB quicker than my ereader.
29443 Prioritizing? What's that? I buy books and the piles get higher and higher. I usually just grab whatever catches my fancy to read.

29443 1. Do you ever get tired of reading about dangerous heroes? What do you read then?
Like Lady D I don't get tired of them but I do occasionally like a sweet beta. Many times you don't really know what you're getting until you start reading.

2. Is there a hero that was just too much for you? Who and why?
Definitely Gray. A few of Catherine Coulter's heroes made me mad. I've read some of hers where the hero went too far in humiliating the heroine and I hated the heroine for letting him.
29443 I have changed ratings before. Usually because I felt I rated them wrong in the first place. Nothing drasic. I may change a 4 to a 3 or a 5 to a 4, etc. But I would never change a 5 to a 3 or 2. Its my attempt to rate more accurately. A book I gave a 4 to may not compare to other books with 4 stars and I will then reevaluate it and lower it if necessary.

29443 Zee wrote "Pamela - love Auggie too! That man always amazes me, I mean, can you believe he was the nerd on Ugly Betty? Oh, the episode in Season 2 where he is in Istanbul, and flashbacks to his time in Iraq *shirtless Auggie = me in drool puddle!*

My 11 yr old daughter thinks he's a hottie too.

29443 Maybe Annie will move next door to Auggie?
29443 Its probably why I stay on here so much. I don't have anyone around here to discuss my passion for reading with. I have a few hunky heroes I claim as my own personal property (lol) but I love talking about them and seeing others feel the same way even if I have to fight to keep others away from my guys. My family is pretty tolerant of my reading but they wish I'd stop and enjoy the outdoors more with them but I'm not into the great outdoors. Fishing and hunting and things like that.
29443 Depends on the circumstances and intensity for me. If he's mean at the beginning before he falls "in love" then I can handle it if he's not too harsh. If he's mean in order to manipulate heroine into doing what he wants to keep her away from harm then ok. But if he constantly mean and demeaning to her then no, I don't care for it. A lot depends on the writer too. Some writers can make me like things I wouldn't normally.

29443 welcome back!!!! We missed you :)
29443 1. How did you rate this book here on Goodreads? 5 stars, of course.
2. Which aspect of the book did you like better: the family dynamics between Mary Rose and her "brothers" or the romance between Mary Rose and Harrison? I think both equally. I read it for the romance but the family dynamics really help the story adding humor and we get a glimpse into how Mary Rose became so adorable.
3. Dangerous Hero rating out of 10? Probably about a 6 for me. He could hold his own but he had heart and was only really dangerous to those who would hurt Mary Rose.
4. Hero Hotness rating out of 10? definitely an 8 or 9.
5. Have you or will you read the novellas about the Clayborne brothers? I read them and felt disappointed. I thought they had such potential and felt let down.
6. What other books with cowboy/rancher dangerous heroes are you favorites? Haven't read many Amer West books that overly wowed me but Johanna Lindsey has a few I'd reread. Marsha Canham's Under the Desert Moon was a 5 star for me.

29443 My 2 sexy, dangerous contributions are
Daegus from The Dark Highlander (Highlander, #5) by Karen Marie Moning and
Adam from The Immortal Highlander (Highlander, #6) by Karen Marie Moning
29443 My suggestions are

Sunset Embrace (Coleman Family Saga #1) by Sandra Brown an oldie but goodie

or

A Heart So Wild (Straton Family, #1) by Johanna Lindsey another oldie

or

For the Roses (Rose, #1) by Julie Garwood
