I'm 5'4" but I've met many guys shorter than me. Just not many in Texas where I was born and raised. I always felt like a little shrimp there. And yes, I'm the shortest person in my family.
We are cheating this year. We are going to a restaurant. But traditionally, we haveTurkey and sometimes a ham also
Mashed potatoes
Green bean casserole or broccoli cheese casserole
dressing with and without eggs (I'm allergic)
giblet gravy
cranberry sauce
sometime mac and cheese (not from a box)
sometimes deviled eggs (I can't have:( )
fruit salad
pecan pie
pumpkin pie
rolls and butter
Amy thought for a moment and remembered her friend, Hammer, lived nearby. Hammer was a Harley rider and sported a body full of tattoos and piercings that seem to intimidate most people. But Hammer was a real pussy cat at heart. Boston wouldn't know that so she made up her mind to take him there.
Amy, now coming to her senses, tried pulling away but Boston's grip was too tight."Let me go!" she hissed.
"Oh God, get a room!" The sound of the women continuing past was heard but he continued with his assault on her neck. She moaned softly and pushed her body closer to his.

I do like the possessive hero as long as he's not controlling.I'm a big fan of the "grand gesture" too. You know when hero does that really dumb thing and it looks like it's all over and then he realizes he can't live without her and goes and does some big thing to prove he's serious. Even if it embarasses him.
Yep, love that father thing too. Big Bad Alpha goes weak in the knees over tiny helpless infant.
The hero who has fought against love and commitment suddenly realizes he's in love and gives the "speech" that brings heroine to her knees.
Ok, I can see where you are going. I'd be ok with that but as soon as they knew who each other was and got their hormones going, then no violence.
I don't care for violence but I do love seeing a gal defend herself against the bad guys. Now if you mean a bad boy hero beating up a bad girl heroine... nope wouldn't work for me. I'd not even read the book if I knew that was going on. However, if this is a meeting for the first time and they don't know who each other is then maybe I'd go for it.
What you said! I know there are no perfect men out there but I got lucky and got one who comes close. lol. Oh, he does have a few quirks I could live without. But has none of the above qualities.

When I s..."I can see where you are coming from and I agree to a degree that in romancelandia things like that should be that way. But sometimes I get an image of the woman coming up to the man's waist and it spoils the picture for me. Kind of a adult size with a child size thing (yuck!) Anyway, that's me. I like the image of the woman coming up to the man's shoulder at least.
I agree. Almost every hero I read about is over 6 feet and built like a mac truck. Most heroines (especially historical romances) are small, petite.I wouldn't want to read about a hero who is only 5 feet-ish and a heroine who is 7 feet-ish but it would be nice for them to be closer in height that they fit together comfortably.
