This is actually a theme I'm not fond of. However, there are a few authors that have done it that I have enjoyed. LK's Suddenly You is one of them. I'm more okay with a couple of years but not anything over 6 or more. Even when the hero is older I don't like a huge difference. I prefer 8 or less yrs but so many authors (historical romance, that is) have the heroine 17-22ish and the hero 30+. I think that's changing a little with the newer authors though.

I feel like I need to let you all know that I'm madly in lust with all the I-Team series men, including Reece. But when we all get down to discussing our faves, I feel a little like a slut the way I love em all. So I try to pick one or two out of the group :)

I didn't care much for Colter's Woman either but I think you'll like that one.

Unfortunately, a person cannot please everyone. There will always be someone out there criticizing. The good news is... there are so many more ppl who love your writing than those who don't. Those who don't, don't matter :)

Where do you find these awesome drool-worthy heroes? Are they totally fiction or do you ever loosely base them on someone you know or seen?

Shapeshifters seem to be popular. I'd have to say I'd hate to see a shapeshifting elephant or even a giraffe. But then a shapeshifter kangaroo would be a bit odd too.

My understanding of it is that it is a hero from a book that u read during that month. Please correct me if I'm wrong :)
