I want more on the perfect side with minor flaws. I know I'm reading fiction and I want that perfect fairy tale like fantasy with the almost perfect man. In real life I will be married for 25 years next week and I know my prince charming is far from perfect but I love em anyway.
Love Criminal Minds and NCIS(both of them) and so looking forward to USA shows coming up Covert Affairs and Burn Notice. There are a few other shows I enjoy but those are my must sees.
I think its a fantasy thing. We fantasize about men with certain characteristics and a man who can do anything is up towards the top of the list. As a woman we want to be able to be independent and not "need" anyone but I think many of us fantasize about someone taking care of us and taking some of our independence away, even if its only in the pages of a book.
Adam Black in KMM's Immortal Highlander had that problem and choose to become human. I agree it doesn't sound romantic that he would stay young and she would die old.
When I hear Stockholm Syndrome I think of Patricia Hearst.I've read several but the only one that immediately comes to mind is
. Although, the hero didn't actually kidnap her he still kept her. I'll see if I can find some more.
Just saw a preview of a new movie Red Riding Hood and looks like they got some bad boys in that one. It's got a werewolf theme.Any other movies with some bad boys?

I love the original NCIS best but I do like NCIS:LA too. I'm glad it's not a carbon copy of the original because no one can replace them. But we got a nice mystery in guessing what Callen's first name is and who his parents were. Sam and his Navy Seal adventures and Hetty, of course. I do wish they would bring Nate back, though. I liked him a bunch.
I read somewhere that they are going to do an episode that shows more about Tony's upbringing and his life as a cop and the first meeting with Gibbs.
**singing** Oh Sam, Sam, you know where I amCome around and talk awhile
I need your smile
You need a shoulder
Oh Sam, Sam, you know where I am
And the door is open wide
Come on inside
Longing to see you
Oh Sam, Sam, you know where I am
I don't mind this theme as long as its not overkill. Some of the best dialogue I've read is where the H/h are verbally sparring. Dripping sarcasm and scathing retorts! I also don't like it to continue through the entire book. Maybe halfway but no more.
(((hugs))) My heart is with you. My brother just had a car accident and was in ICU for about a week. He's going to be okay but his accident was caused by a diabetic attack and he had a stroke also. He is having problems speaking and walking now.
