This is another series I'm super way behind on.

I've just started book 3 of the Ghost Walkers. Not sure if that's considered pnr or sci-fi though."
How are you liking them? Love the series. No pressure. I would consider them Sci-fi/PNR.

Not to mention the Indian attack that wasn't in the original book!

Here is the October challenge:

DHASG October Challenge
Introduction: October is the first full month of fall. Hopefully, it's starting to feel like fall. If not, at least we can enjoy some good books and the start of the fall holiday season!
Rules:
1. Any member of the DHSAG can sign up for the challenge throughout the month October.
2. All books must be read between October 1st and October 31st.
3. A book may only be used once in the challenge.
4. Post or link to your final stats when you are completed.
5. In your stats, list book name, title and date read. Unless obvious, include why you choose a certain book in parenthesis in your stats.
Level:
1. Top Ten: Read 10-12 books.
2. Pumpkin Patch: Read 5-9 books.
3. Trick or Treat!: Read 3-4 books.
Categories:
1.Say It With a Song!: In honor of Halloween, choose a spooky song title and read a book that represents it. It may or may not be a horror novel. Some suggestions: "Thriller," "Monster Mash", "Spooky".
2.Perfect Ten: Since October is the tenth month, let's celebrate by using a book with ten words in the title, or whose author's name has ten letters. you could also read the tenth book in a series. Another alternative is to use a book that is a perfect ten rating (in other words, five star read).
3.World Smile Day: We could use more smiling in the world. To celebrate this holiday on the first Friday of the month, read a book that makes you smile, has a smiley face on the cover, or has "smile" in the title.
4.Jack O'Lantern: For this custom of carving pumpkins, read a book that has a character named Jack or is written by an author with "Jack" in the first, middle or last name. You could also use a book with a pumpkin/Jack O'Lantern on the cover.
5.Sukkot, the Festival of Shelters: The Jewish festival of Sukkot occurs this month, celebrating the Israelites wandering through the desert by living in shelters or tents called 'sukkah.' Read a book with a character who lives in a temporary shelter (could be camping) or is a wanderer by nature.
6.Like a Boss!: For Boss Day on October 16th, read a book with a storyline that prominently features a boss. It could be an office romance, or about a person who has a boss from Hades. You decide.
7.Sweetest Day: This holiday occurs on the third Saturday in October, and was created by an Ohio philanthropist who wanted to recognize the under-noticed, and remind them that they were not forgotten. Read a book with a 'sweetheart" character, or someone who would probably not get the attention or affection they deserve. You could also use a book with 'sweet' in the title.
8.Cookie Month: You can't deny the awesomeness of cookies. Let's read a book that represents a flavor of cookie in some way. Here's a list of different cookies:

9.An Apple for the Teacher: For World Teacher's day on October 5th, let's honor educators by reading a book with a character who is a teacher or has served inthis world for someone else.
10.Trick or Treat: Read a book to represent one of these holidays from our bowl of 'treats' (tell us why in parentheses. Virus Appreciation Day, Mad Hatter Day, It's my Party Day, National Dessert Day, No Beard Day.

I took a long break from the Dark-Hunters as well. I think I'm ready to get back into them.

Anyone tried the Feehan series about the Leopard People? Worth a go?"
Yes. Some books better than others. But I generally enjoy them. I wasn't as keen on the last book. It was too much in the vein of 50 Shades of Grey for my tastes.
KatieV wrote: "I'm just kind of blown away by the sheer number of Dark books. I've read thru 14 and it blows me away that there are almost twice as many left. It's daunting, bit I'm sure I'll get back to it.
I ..."
Yeah, it's fine to take breaks and read them when you feel like it.

Oh, man. I love the IAD. I'm only two books behind with that! I hope to do them on audio one day (when I have time).

I've read Dark Hunger, Dark Descent, and Dark Dream. Although I'm sold out for the GhostWalkers and I love any book with a Prakenskii hero, I forgot how much I enjoy the whole Carpathian worldbuilding and folklore. Yes, I'm still waaaayyy behind! Next up is Dark Melody, although I did already read Dark Possession. I hope to read Dark Celebration in December.
Anyone else a fan?

I am still on the fence about reading Rock Addiction. I just don't like the storyline much. I'm curious about their relationship based on seeing it from the sidelines in Rock Hard.
I'm glad we got to discuss it this past month!
