a gift from my brother in law, who would be aware, both of the irony involved, and the fact that i would enjoy it. quite simply (anti?) folk versions of a well chosen selection of crass songs by new yorker, jeffrey lewis (whose vocals strongly put me in mind of those of jonathan richman). instantly apparent that he's a fan, the angle lent to these pieces actually complement the originals with an entirely opposite approach.
what's next? 'bob dylan celebrates the world of the uk subs?'

not neccessarily so, i thought they were an interesting group of chart commandos during the 15 minutes they were visible for. it was also obvious that they had listened to suicide's first album more than was good for them!......and that's ok!

ok, i won't then.
btw, i enjoy a good computer game also, provided it involves the brutal shooting and slaying of zombie hordes.

mr tech jnr sent us a photo at 10.01 yesterday (1 min after the earliest he could receive it) of himself and his new PS5. he's a very happy working family man of 33, producer (along with his pal of 30 years) of an award winning computer game yt channel, many podcasts on the subject, etc, etc, and, thing is, he ain't a raging saddo, he ain't even a very naughty boy!

.......anyhoo, preparing to descend into tier 4 (the bad boy of all the tiers) at 6pm, and interested to see how quickly people have forgotten about conditions during the first wave.

the download only remix album of test dept's 2019 album 'disturbance' (which due to my refusal to pay one little independent's £4 for p&p, and my misreading of amazon's autorip offer, i won't have till the end of the month) - the 8 tracks of the album mixed by 8 different protagonists, lending a number of approaches to things, and for the most part building on the themes of the source material.
happened upon the original on blandcamp, and was knocked out by the fresh, forceful direct nature of the album, which was their first in 21 years. gets back to their politically motivated material from the 1980s, but with a more measured element.

stumbled upon it on blandcamp, but i'm not paying oli's £4 p+p, found a cheaper copy to buy on discogs. it's like a more mature (but no less angry) take on their original 80s output (way less techno, as they became in the 90s) - you know me, i need purposeful music, and this is good rant!

i'm your original 'golden child', as brothers and sisters have i none!
thank ****!
don't worry. i have other targets for my bitter and twisted wrath.
