anyhoo, to soothe my eyes,
amazon.co.uk/Sound-System-Anthology-S... - an anthology of their island period, featuring practically all of the first two practically flawless albums (some in 12" form, a few single tracks), and a few tracks from their flawed 3rd album. mostly magnificent.

but, right on, dude!
if i encounter a vehicle (almost always a 'works' van) parked on a pavement, and the driver is in the van, i always challenge his sensibilities as regards not leaving space for citizens to pass without going on to the road. mostly they comply, but if i get any snash out of them, i just take a step back and make a show of reading the company's name on the side/door, nod and move on. this works too.

halfwit from building site across the road parked completely on the pavement at the apex of a corner, forcing all who passed on to the busy road or across an obvs muddy patch of grass. this is a main access to the bus stop. chinned a worker on his way in to the site if they could contact the moron who owns the car and tell him he's got half an hour before i call it in. moved within 5 mins.
power to the people.

proof that all those 'ladies of negotiable affection' and all that cocaine will kill ya!

fatist!
'inna de yard' is a kind of collective outfit, featuring 'golden age' singers - cedric myton (congos), ken boothe, kiddus i, winston mcanuff, and various guests.

miss tech, who works in poondland, tells me that, since the onset of lockdown, they have been smashing all records for takings, this has continued to the present. must be one of the few areas of growth in (actual shop) retail, outside supermarkets.

anyhoo, back to the days when anarcho-punk was the way to go, i seem to be going for completion of the crass catalogue. picked https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ten-Notes-Su... up cheaply. crass list it as an album, discogs as a single - 20 minutes of experimentation from 2 years after they split, so not full band, as known, participating. 1 long vocal piece followed by it's instrumental version - as the title suggests, 10 notes used! it's an interesting recording which draws you right in, not crass as you might expect in sound, but deals with familiar themes. i like it.
also got the 'christ the album' box coming my way. crasstastic!
