I also changed my title! LOL

LOL, actually she is my sister-in-law, but since I don't have a sister, she is a close as I can get! That made me laugh!!! Good luck on your giveaways! Hopefully, my good wishes won't be a srike against you in the eyes of the judges! *I'm still laughing!*

Lol, rejected sounds so much better that pathetic! You should hear what she calls me face-to-face! LOL, I love her!

HAHA! I know! I feel like a shlub! Pathetic is my middle name!

It is probably for the best, it would have eaten Fosco's mice and then it would have been shot like Mrs. Catherick's little dog!

LOL, it was the little greyhound that didn't like Sir Percy. I can't imagine the crazy uncle enjoying a dog. Oh, that yucky rustling-AAAH, the nerves!

In general, I don't mind mice as pets. Different matter when the move in from the wild. But , what made me laugh was how domestic they were. I had hamsters growing up, and only 1 was tame enough that he actually enjoyed my company. The others acted more like rodents(scared and alert). They were not mean though.
What ever happened to Laura's dog?

Tried something new and after I added the books to my to read list,I moved them up closer to #1 in my pile. Thought it might work, it didn't. *sob*

I don't know where everyone is, but if you have met Count Fosco, what do you think of him? Are you anamored with him like Marion is?
How about his wife? Scary woman or someone to be pitied? Granted I have just met them, but Collins does give some wonderful descriptions of them?
Would his "pets" creep you out?

Welcome to Brett and Samantha! Happy reading!

It is rather like watching a trial. Having the prosecution line up all of the witness's. It is also like a puzzle, what one person has no knowledge of, another one is intimately invovled.
Oh, how I wish I could read people like in a book! How characters always notice the slight widening of eyes, and,my fave, the blushing that seems to always come to people! Love that!

What do you think about how Collins tells the story? Do you like having different accounts, told by different people? Does it remind you of Pulp Fiction?LOL

I feel very ashamed! I don't normally do that, but it was like an itch that I needed to scratch.!

I must admit that I looked at Wikipedia to see what happened in Woman in White. I don't know why, but I was REALLY wanting to know what was going to occur next. So, I was very bad and know the gist of the story. I feel very contrite, but it did help. Confirmed my suspicions. HEHE

Congrats Amy!!! That is fantastic! Man, you are on a roll!! Maybe, you could pass the mojo on to the rest of us!

The optional December read.Hope that this gets you in the Holiday spirit!

Sounds fine with me.

Ok, I think that we will just leave it and if we all get Sharon's speed reading skills for the Holidays, then we can consider what to do in January!

After looking at all the challenges that I'm currently in, February is ok for me also. Just wanted to get others opinions. I can get in over my head when it comes to reading!

I was wondering if we should change the finish date for 1984? It is finishing in February, that might be a bit long for this book. I also realize that the Holidays are coming, so just wanting to get some feedback from everyone. I don't want to make the group reads drag on, but I also don't want people rushed and not able to participate.
