Joy has a good idea to try reading something else, I have a tendency to let it go. I figure that life is too short to spend time reading a book that I don't like. So there are times that I throw in the towel and find another book.

24794 Does anyone else have a hard time writing reviews? I find it so frustrating that I can read a wonderful book and can't figure out something better to say except "It was a good book." Drives me crazy!

24794 I just wanted to let everyone know that we have not forgotten about the next challenge, but Kerri and I are trying to figure out the details for it. Since we have many international members, we are trying to figure out how to do the prizes. How is that for a teaser? We would love your input and if you would like to do smaller challenges, please let us know your ideas! Thanks again!

24794 I'm plan on reading the rest of the series, but my town library is VERY tiny and they have yet to get in the 2nd and 3rd books.

24794 The parts that drug me down was all the talk about the financial empires. It was not the most interesting reading. I must admit that most financial stuff makes my eyes glaze over.

24794 I have many mental images from this book, not all good, but surprisingly, I don't have any fixed images of actors/actresses in my head for the people. Usually I end up doing that with books I read. I will have to add it to my queue on Netflix. Thanks for the idea!

24794 Yep! read late into the night and finished the tiny bit this morning. I must say that Salender was impressive. She turned into quite the awesome heroine!

24794 I finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium, #1) by Stieg Larsson and I enjoyed it. You all were right it is very good, although it did make me lock my doors and shut the curtains while I was reading it! I'm now starting Witch Hunt (Ophelia & Abby, #4) by Shirley Damsgaard .

24794 Well my guess was half right and correct, but, wow, it was twisted about 180 degrees in a different direction!

24794 It has now really started to get interesting. I have my ideas about who it is and what happened with her. This Vanger family is rather dysfunctional.

24794 Yes, I'm having flashbacks of War and Peace! Need my spreadsheet back! It's the Vanger family that leaves me scratching my head. Hopefully, some of them are not important.

24794 I'm having a hard time figuring out who all the people are. There is even charts and I'm still confused.

Must agree. She dealt with a lot, but I ended up not liking her at all at the end. I did not finish the 2nd epilogue and I feel NO guilt at all! I read the 1st page and said BLLLLLAHHHHH! I figured the story ended in the first epilogue, and I did not want to read about his theories anymore!:) CONGRATS on finishing and thanks for recommending it! Well done!

24794 It has been years since I read the other Bronte sisters books, but are the characters similar or does each lady have distinct writing styles?

24794 I have to agree with Amy also! I just have to say ditto! I can admire Jane after everything that she went through and certain aspects of her personality I can see in my own, I still liked P&P better.
