WHAT!!!!! Why in hell is she doing that. I think she may have lost me.. I've never been a really big fan of the series and was only reading for that HEA. Boo Hoo.... not happy.

222868 Lulu...I've still got to read this yet... but it's approaching the top of my TBR. I remember the days when I couldn't wait to read the IAD... I think it says something when now I wait for it to come out in paperback.. and then I still just get to it whenever. Really didn't like Dark Skye (Immortals After Dark, #15) by Kresley Cole but I thought the last one Sweet Ruin (Immortals After Dark, #16) by Kresley Cole was better. Hoping this one is good... but your thoughts aren't filling me with confidence, LOL.

222868 Yep, I'm only up to book 10, so now I'm waiting till they are all published and having a Charley and Reyes binge.

It was great series, wasn't it. Unfortunately no more Blackthorn and Grimm.. she pitched an idea to her publisher but apparently was a no go. But she is starting a new series to be published next year.

222868 Finished Etched in Bone (The Others, #5) by Anne Bishop .

Love this world but honestly could only give it 3 stars. Too much time either setting up the characters for the next series or spent on the tedious Cyrus plot who was so one dimensional in comparison to the wonderful cast of characters she could have drawn on to really finish this series with a bang.

I will read the next series hopefully she can get back to the wonderfulness of the first three books of this series but will probably wait till the price drops.

Hope you don't chuck me out of the group, LOL....

Yes, is she setting it up for the new frontier community out west where The Others are completely in control. The first little bit with the interviews and outlining the people going there seemed like that's where it would be heading.

Me too Melindeeloo. I'm 8 books behind.

On another note and at risk of being thrown out of this group, I am 35% into Etched in Bone. I am feeling a bit disappointed - there is too much stuff about the Cyrus character and not enough stuff about Meg and Simon, the Elemental ponies and a bigger story line overall especially for the last book in this arc. Does it get a bit pacier at least?

222868 Re - Tessa Dare. I think they are new characters. Maybe they seem familiar as they are typical TD quirky female characters. Looking forward to more in this series.

I've read a lot of her historical romance novels which are pretty good. Seems like she has switched genres. I'll have to check it out.

222868 Outlander chat..

I really loved the build up to the big reunion, (view spoiler). Wish I looked that good twenty years later! But boo for having to wait 2 weeks till the next episode. Anyone know why?

222868 Yep, the days of the customer chat forum are over. From what I can see it is just about their products. Even though I lament the demise of our threads at Amazon I'm been on Goodreads for ages so am pretty comfortable over here. Just give it a bit of time. At least with here and Facebook we are able to continue the reccing and the chatting.

222868 Seeing we're putting our two cents in... the actress who plays Claire is not at all how I imagined her both physically and personality. In the books Claire was forthright but how she is played in the show borders on bitchy.. hey I can use that word here, LOL.

On the plus side I wasn't sure about Sam... but he has definitely embraced the role and he is Jamie now for me. And as we mentioned Tobias was brilliant as Frank/Jonathan.

222868 Duncan Innes! Wow, that character mustn't have made much of an impression on me because I had to think really hard who he was. Outlander is my daughter and mine current "chocolate" show. We tune in each week with chocolate and a cup of tea and ooh and ahh over what happens.

This Roger isn't handsome enough for me. But, he may grow on me and Bree isn't tall enough. I always pictured her as kind of an Amazon woman, 6 foot tall with flaming red hair. Well, I guess they got the hair right.

222868 Lulu, Fogarty is here as Elizabeth. Such a pretty name too.

I clicked my old bookmark and the Reading, Read to Read thread is gone. Nearly feels like I've lost a friend of the family. So glad the majority of us are here.
