This is really strange, when I went to look at the
Magic Triumphs
page here on Goodreads, I had a 5* rating and it was marked as read. I'm sure that I didn't put that up, I haven't even read the synopsis of the book yet. Weird!

Vinity... Did you finish all of The Chronicles of St Mary's books? I am listening to them and I am on the 4th book,
A Trail Through Time
I saw that quite a few readers didn't particularly like this book. I am leery of her reboot of the MC's personalities. Did you like this book? Is this series complete? Regardless, I am still going to listen to it. This series is actually quite funny and is excellent on audio.
TINNGG... I was actually excited that Kenyon was releasing a new series, but I agree with you, it is sort of a Dark Hunter, the early years type of series, especially with all of the cross over characters. The book I want to read is Jaden's story. I'm sorry about your dining room. It sounds like a major project. Good Luck!
Cold Reign
is $1.99. This is the 11th book in the Jane Yellowrock series.

Boy, August 28th must be a big release day, Kenyon has a book coming out that day too,
Stygian
I am probably 3 books behind in that series. When Dark Hunters first came out I couldn't read them fast enough on release day, now, meh! I'll get around to them someday.

Happy Belated Birthday Carol B. Sorry, I missed it yesterday. I hope that you had a great day.

Sweep of the Blade Chapter 13 part 2 is up, WOW, I think that this is the best one (Innkeeper), yet.

Liz... The latest T.S.Joyce book is out,
Redemption of a Wolf
and is about the Wolf half brother of Rike and Ramsey Blackwood. This is the last of the Red Dead Mayhem crew, and his mate is the mountain lion shifter Trina, who just bought the bar in town where so much of this series takes place.
I am so behind in posting my audible books, I do wish that goodreads would automatically add the audio books like it generally does for kindle books.
Have a Great Weekend Everyone!! :-}

Waverly... Your interest in books goes into your professional life too, WOW!! The trips sound like a lot of preparation, are you responsible for that too? As with everything there is a price, I hope that you have found your calling and love your work. Can you give us an example of one of the books that you study?
Frisco and LAB... The same thing just happened to me last week. I was looking at the reviews for the St Mary's Institute books that I am currently listening to, and right in the middle of one of the first reviews had the name of a key character who is going to die. I can't remember if it was on Amazon or here, but I tend to think that it was here because I thought that it would have been so easy to put it in a spoiler.
Some people don't get the structure of a review. It is not a book report, and you certainly don't give away the most important incident in a series novel. so even though I know the outcome, I am happily listening to that series and will act surprised when it comes, LOL!! :-)
I am reading an ARC from NetGalley too, it is taking me an incredible amount of time because I cannot sit down and read with the hectic state of my real life.
Bellewether

HappyBookWorm... The spinster series has a very neurotic h, and some really hysterical scenes. It's not the greatest series, but it has some crazy moments.

Carol... Congrats!! You are going for your anniversary right? How many years? Where are you going?

Carol... You are such a lucky dog!! Paris anytime of the year is wonderful. Didn't you go to Italy recently?
Add me to the list of the Veronica Speedwell series fans. I liked Raybourn's other series, Lady Julia Grey, and I couldn't wait for her new one. These series are both great on audio.
Waverly... What do you do for a job? A month overseas sounds like a lot of fun.
I've been bouncing around between the Bridgerton series and The Chronicles of St. Mary's on audio.
On kindle, I finished the chic-lit series The Spinster series, which is free on KU.
I still have
Bellewether
to finish and review for NetGalley.

I wonder if they have a "special case" scenario for all of us book rich/money poor readers who would love to go to Paris in April? I think that it would be fun. Paris Is such a great place to be in the spring. When I win the lottery, I'll take us all. :-》

Also.... From the Ilona Andrews newsletter, 8/6/2018
"Rare 2019
Gordon and Ilona will be attending RARE, Romance Author and Reader Events, in 2019.
Paris, April 06, 2019
London, September 21, 2019"
So, who is going? Anyone? ;-}

Well Lisa if you are the patron saint then I am your sister. I still enjoy the BDB and the Legacy series. We might have a couple of friends here. I must say that I am true to that series until the bitter end, or it really goes off the rails.
Shannon... I happen to agree with Lisa about the BDB Legacy series, it's old school BDB, less multi tasking more to the point.
So Doug, who is it who shall not be named? You can whisper it, LOL!!
TINNGG... I have seen a couple of Kenyon's books believe it or not at the local CVS pharmacy. (I suppose that I should have asked where you live first.) I am actually a couple of books behind in the Dark Hunters series, I have them but I have them in DTB and I just don't sit and read them like I used to.
I have a NetGalley book to finish,
Bellewether.
So far, I like the book, but I felt like there was an awful lot of set up. I generally like Kearsley, but then again, I usually listen to them on audio.

Doug... I liked the Invertary series, some books better than the others.
Lulu.. Good to see your posts. I was going to listen to
Frederica
next, after a few books that I already have on audio. I think that I will check out the Captain Lacey books too.
I have been listening to
Just One Damned Thing After Another.
I know that Vinity listened to these and when I saw the first book on sale on Audible I tried it. This is a very unusual series where the crew at St. Mary's have the ability to jump to any period in the past to accurately record events. They are a top-secret institute, and these missions are supposed to be non-interaction jumps, but naturally they aren't. I'm about 90% finished and I'm not too pleased with the events that just occurred. I like the premise for the storyline and there are opposing forces working their way in so you aren't exactly sure of the good guys vs. bad guys score.
On kindle I am reading a light chic-lit series and I am on the second book,
Thirty-Three Going on Girlfriend
It's no Jennifer Crusie, but it does have it's hysterical moments.

Definitely not a book, but has anyone else here been watching Wynonna Earp on the SYFY channel? I just watched the first 2 seasons, (on Netflix), the first season was better IMHO, even though there was a lot of set-up for the main characters. I wasn't really enthused about the storyline of the second season, but I don't feel that it suffered too much for it. The third season just started 2 weeks ago and I haven't watched any episodes yet. The show in the U.S. is on Friday nights. The MC Wynonna is a great... granddaughter of the famous sheriff Wyatt Earp. The family has been "cursed". Each time Earp's heir, (only one in each generation), dies and the next "heir" comes of age, all of the people that Earp killed rise again as revenants, (demons), and must be killed by the heir using Earp's famous gun. The gun has a very long barrel and runes appear when it is in close proximity to a demon. This show evolved from a graphic novel or a comic series. Wynonna is snarky, brutal, and definitely her own person.

Ok, I'll bail you out Doug, no killing allowed.
I finished listening to
The Grand Sophy
and I think that Sophy is my favorite HR heroine and most certainly my favorite Georgette Heyer one. I loved this book, the narrator was excellent and the storyline was so Heyer. I might continue on with something else by her,
The Corinthian.
On kindle, I have been reading some chic-lit.
Thirty-Two Going on Spinster.
I have all three books in the series and I think that I will continue reading those 'til the end. I do have an ARC from netgalley to read and review so I might have to give it a break soon.

Finally a word for our little obsession--
Tsundoku:The Art of buying books and never reading them.

Great job Diane!! :-}
