I haven't read Chaol's book, I was thinking about skipping it, but I suppose that I should go ahead and read it before I go on to Kingdom of Ash.

On kindle I am reading the third book in The Wild Ones series, Wilder Wilder (The Wild Ones Book 3) by C.M. Owens Already, it is crazy, typical Tomahawk town crackpots and all.

222868 Sharon... I have been reading the Shannon Mayer series and have been posting about it all along. I'm glad that you have joined the few of us here that are fans of that series. I can't wait for the next one.

222868 I once made a quick comment to an author who many of us here read. I only wanted to know if she was going to release her last 2 books of her most recent popular series in audio. I got a very snippy comment about how the audio transactions were a separate deal from the publishing contract, (which I knew anyway), and if I wanted to know the story that the kindle edition and the paperback versions were out already. I didn't comment again, but I was taken aback. I just wonder if it is deliberate. Countless authors release all versions at the same time.

Kristi, Yay!!!! Congrats, that's wonderful. :-)

222868 Cry Wolf Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs is on sale for $.99/ kindle edition. If by some remote chance you haven't read this series by Patricia Briggs, You must read the Alpha and Omega novella first. Alpha & Omega.

222868 Upon everyone's rec's, I purchased Silent Blade Silent Blade (Kinsmen, #1) by Ilona Andrews and Silver Shark Silver Shark (Kinsmen, #2) by Ilona Andrews I know that I purchased and read Silent Blade and possibly Silver Shark many years ago. I can't find them on my kindle list anywhere. Weird.

I know that some here have read the Soulfinder, (Poison Study), series. I have been listening to Magic Study Magic Study (Study, #2) by Maria V. Snyder and I know that it is a sophmore effort, but the story isn't really grabbing me. Does it get better towards the end or even at the half-way point? I must not be in the mood for this series.

On another point, Cry Wolf Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs is on sale for $.99/ kindle edition. If by some remote chance you haven't read this series by Patricia Briggs, You must read the Alpha and Omega novella first. Alpha & Omega.

222868 Carol... Thanks for that. I was a bit worn out after Red Rising. Red Rising (Red Rising, #1) by Pierce Brown I really was drawn into the story and it was a powerful story. A kind of Lord of the Flies meets Hunger Games. I really liked the MC, Darrow. His journey was long and the school "lessons" were brutal. I like that he became a leader. I have the next 3 books, but I am going to read a couple of easier reads before I tackle the next books.

I am listening to an easier story in A Little Night Magic A Little Night Magic (Nodaway Falls, #1) by Lucy March
The MC, Liv, has no idea that she has magic, until a late night visitor to the diner that she works at, throws a smelly sock like thing at her. She starts to sneeze, trips over her mop and bucket, and wakes up on the floor. After that, things start to go wonky. Her magic manifests itself into an ability to make animals out of inanimate objects, but she is so much more. Throw in a villain who is relentless, a group of girlfriends who have each other's backs, and a handsome crush and you have the makings of a fun slightly supernatural jaunt. I am only a bit more than half way through and I hope that it doesn't veer off track. So far, so good.

222868 Hi Lisa.. I go to Salem every few years. Some museum exhibits are better than others, but all are fun. Did you do a graveyard tour? Some guides are really good. I love the House of Seven Gables too.
Where to next? Boston?
On a totally different note, Innkeeper is so good and worth the wait for this chapter.

222868 Doug.. I like Lawrence's work and even though I have to wait, I really am looking forward to his next book. I like the main characters, the twisted world and the winding plots. Once I started on Red Sister, I knew that I had to read Grey Sister. I did hold off for a little while.

222868 happy.. I was wondering about that. I thought that it might be because there was an update released & I had the older version. The weird thing is that I constantly find old books on the first page of my kindle book listings when they update something in them.

222868 I finished Grey Sister Grey Sister (Book of the Ancestor, #2) by Mark Lawrence and I can't wait for book 3.

While I am on a kick to clear some book in my TBR, I have started Red Rising Red Rising (Red Rising, #1) by Pierce Brown This is also a darker read. I noticed that the second and third books are on the Audible Buy 2 books for the price of 1 sale. I already own the 4th book, which I purchased on a previous sale.
Has anyone else read this series?

Re: Amazon prices, I have noticed that some books that I know that I purchased are not showing up as a purchase. I wonder if it is really a glitch or a intentional process.

222868 Paula... Yes, Ammy is getting really tricky. I hardly ever look up books under the KU "heading", I usually get e-mails or see postings on author's websites to find KU books.

Lulu... I haven't read the Cassie Palmer books, but I have read some of the Dorina Basarab stories.

Sorry, I see that Shannon posted about the Harrison books. I must have missed her post.

Victoria... You can save one audible credit and still be eligible to get the Romance books and the free on KU books if you want. Also, did you decide on a book to listen to?

melindeeloo... Have you read the second Foundling book, Bone Driven? Bone Driven (Foundling, #2) by Hailey Edwards

222868 All of the books in Elizabeth Hunter's Elemental Mystery series are free on KU. It's an easy way to catch up on the later books if you haven't finished them, (like me). :-)

I haven't read the last couple of books so I will be taking advantage of the KU offering.

222868 The only other series that I can think of that has a spider character in it is the Alex Verus series. She is a knowledgeable asset and a good friend to Alex. Fated Fated (Alex Verus, #1) by Benedict Jacka
