am currently listening to Conquer the Kingdom, I like the love interest, but the princess as a spy is not terribly believable.
I also recently finished Wraith's Revenge, it was kind of a side trip to the big finish - next book is the last.
I enjoyed the quirky but sweet The Dead Romantics -, a romance ghost writer (who also has the ability to see ghosts) who no longer believes in love and is struggling to finish her book. I was glad that I didn't know more than that going in and avoided spoilers

It doesn't look like it. Did you try joining from the desktop site, sometimes GR mobile site is finicky.

she is going to record an audio book for Gorgon agenda and then one for Solstice Countdown ( and then go back an record audiobooks for the Rain Beneres books that don't have an audio)

I went and hunted down the other Karen Chance Lia anthologies on ebay after reading Junk Magic - the best short was the one not in the anthologies (Skin Deep. But since I bought Wolfsbane and Mistletoe , Strange Brew and Home Improvement: Undead Edition, i've been rereading the rest of the shorts - there were some good ones and it's been so long since I read them it's lik they are new again - old Sookie, Jane Yellowrock and Mercyverse stories, . So far Wolfbane was the best collection overall.
There was a time when I couldn't imagine having more than one book going at a time but these days it's not uncommon to have at least four

I like the contemp Jayne Krentz ones with psychic powers. Alot of decendants of the Harmony leads have stories in the contemp books, and other than the amber, 'rezzing', dustbunnies and glowy green caves, the stories have a similar feel and formula.
I am listening to Dream Eyes right now. (I don't buy hardback from her either and look for sales or at the library)

I am also thinking of starting a re-read of either Patricia Briggs' Alpha and Omeg..."
I did a mercyverse reread this year and I interwove the two, briggs has the timelime on her web site. I thought it was good that way because there are little things that carry over between the two series.

I've been mostly listening lately since I decided to crochet a larger project after making a smaller but more involved thing for a christmas present.
I was on a Jayne Ann Krentz kick - light mysteries most with a touch of paranormal (psychics, dreamers...) with a bit of romance - I listen to the complete Fogg Lake series, Falling Awake and an older oneGrand Passion.
Her stuff is formulaic in some ways and I don't generally buy her books at full price, but I've read enough over the years that I get a kick when she pulls in refs to the Arcane society or domething that give a nod to her Harmony books.

The third Edge book is my favorite and the only one I've reread. I liked the leading man's luck and I liked his heroine.

I just finished Skin Deep and Junk Magic. I had remembered liking the Lia shorts, but boy oh boy. I thought Junk magic was great. Chance really knows how to pack action into her battle scenes and there were some really good things going on in the plot. I ordered the two other anthologies with the other Lia shorts to back fill. But I do think Junk Magic could stand on its own - though skin deep does have flashbacks that establish Lia's relationship with her mate, Cyrus.
Thanks to Shannon for the rec.

I've been reading mostly Christmas romances, but I did read Trolled which I liked. I am enjoying it more than the Death Before Dragons books which are set in the same world. And Buroker just put out a link to cute little Christmas short with her newsletter that featured the male leads from both series going on 'quest'.

Hope you have a good Christmas, it is hard changing to new traditions and new ways of celebrating the holidays.

I bought old man's war on the audibke sale. I think those are the only Scalzi books I haven't 'read'. I loved the one of his read by Will Wheaton, Red Shirts, Fuzzy Nation, Kaiju Protection Society and the Dispatcher series read by Zachary Quinto. I like the humor in the books.
