Just wanted to tell everyone that I'm going to be competing in the SA Champs for Fencing in Bloemfontein this weekend as part of the Eastern Cape team. I will compete in the Senior Women Epee, both team and individual categories! Considering I have been fencing for less than a year, I'm pretty excited.

Of course, this doesn't actually mean I'm really good or anything as, in order to qualify you need to compete in local ranking competitions (we are the only club in Eastern Cape so every competition we have is a provincial ranking!) and compete in a National competition in the past year. I went to Cape Town in February. I am currently ranked 44 (tie with someone else), but as there are only 45 people with a ranking in that category, I can only go up.

Still, I am in the top 50 in SA...
