21857 HeeHee!! I could say I am on leave, but that only started two days ago, so I don't think it helps much!

I mentioned that they are aimed at kids, as I know that puts some people off. If I like them, I'm sure there are other adults who do as well. Those two series look awesome, especially the heroes in training ones. I will look out your them. Thanks for the tip!

21857 Thanks!

21857 Ok, planning done. Now I am impatient to start reading! I'm on leave so have extra time available...

I know, it is only a week, I will cope.

21857 I love Septimus!! I have a fascination for dragons and his is super cute. It is definitely aimed at kids, but I enjoy kids books at times and it makes for easy light hearted reading.

21857 Thanks, Barbara, but I found something that works better (and allows me to finish Fyre now!!)
21857 Yay, clever way to finish it off!!

21857 What about Fyre for Task 19 (family type unit)? The main character is a wizard in training and lives in the wizard tower with many of the other wizards.

21857 Yay, new tasks... Planning commences...

21857 FINISHED!

Will update my thread tomorrow.

21857 But children being taking is generally more heart wrenching and makes a better story. By the time she gets taken we know her character and can therefore relate more to her loss than we would otherwise.

21857 Yeah, it was accidental. I just thought it was funny how he saves her and then is the cause of her being in even more danger within moments!

I don't remember it specifically mentioning virgin blood, just young blood, maybe that was to keep it more believable. But then, it doesn't specifically tell us she is not a virgin...

21857 When she first realises it is her dad, then he gets the axe. Once she falls over the cliff, she gets sucked under the water and becomes the 12th girl.

21857 Yeah, out is all the little things that make it good. Like when Jake saves Angelika, comments "He was going to kill you" and pushes her over the cliff!

21857 I think some of the over the top stuff is the funniest! It helps make the movie good...
Apr 21, 2013 08:15AM

21857 I just watched the gingerbread man part. That is probably my favourite...

Although, I do like how Jacob is the Beanstalk guy!

21857 I own a copy of the movie, which only applies to ones I really enjoy! I am enjoying this time round although I was looking forward to the commentary so I'm a little disappointed to find it missing.
Apr 21, 2013 07:10AM

21857 Oh, my copy had no commentary track. Guess I'm listening to the normal movie then...
