21857 Read a book that is a follow on from a previous book, but written by a different author.

21857 Finished. Moving on to book 2. What did others think?

21857 I've read it so will join discussion but I don't think I will read it again.

21857 Oh, what is Oliver? I remember photos of Putty and Nugget, but I missed the latest addition.

21857 For breakfast I sometimes do this freezable omelette thing. I mix up eggs with whatever I want in the omelettes such as herbs, cheese, mushroom (I put bacon but you can easily skip that). Pour into muffin tray and cook. When cool, freeze. In the morning put one or two in the microwave to defrost and heat. Simple and quick. You can always do the mini muffin yay if you want smaller ones.

Another option is ziplock omelette. Put everything in a ziplock bag and boil water on the stove. As the bag of omelette and it will cook in a few minutes.

21857 I'm reading the audio book at the moment.

21857 Yeah, there is an amazing butchery where you can get warthog, kudu, impala, blesbok, ostrich. We can get some biltong and others in fresh meat which we can cook, probably do some of it on the braai (bbq).

21857 Wow, interesting choice for someone who doesn't eat veggies.

That wasn't meant in a judging way, I'm just surprised at the choice.

Care to share why?

21857 I love veggies, but cannot give up meat. My life needs bacon. I do try and eat sustainably as much as possible, by which I mean free range chicken etc and game rather than beef (we have lots of game farms so it is easily available, warthog is yummy!) Fish I try and follow the SASSI guidelines.

My staple dinner is a piece of meat or fish, air fried chips and steamed veggies!

We have a vegan at work and she never eats anything when we have functions because everything has eggs in it. I definitely couldn't make that choice because bacon and egg is the best!

I do however find it fascinating why people make choices to follow a specific food lifestyle, even if it is one I know I could never choose. Zuleka, why are you vegan?

And I also Love Marvin!

It is to raise awareness, not money. We team up with Penguin Promises who have the slogan We don't want your money honey, we want your love. You can make a promise to the penguins to live more sustainably at www.penguinpromises.com or find them on Facebook. There is also info on www.bayworld.co.za and our Facebook page. 21857 That plan looks similar to the C25K (couch to 5km) one which comes as an app and tells you when to walk or run. Personally I am not a runner and have no desire to although my coach seems to think differently, but he is a pentathlete. Good luck on starting the journey.

We had Eastern Cape champs for fencing tonight and I won my section. I was not expecting to do that well as I know my focus had been off for the last few weeks. We head to George for the next national competition first weekend in May, but before that I spend 6 days walking 120 km along the beach (PE to St Francis) to raise awareness for penguins. I think that will be enough exercise for the next couple if weeks...

21857 Busy with lots of stuff as well as fencing, but mostly just didn't feel like reading much so I didn't. I do read a bit, but not as much as normal.

That is the good thing about books, they wait patiently for us to return to them.

21857 Barbara, at least you made it on to the list. I've also found this year is just not my reading year, but I'm enjoying focusing on some other things and I know the reading time will return at some point in the future.

21857 Awesome. Looking forward to meeting you and showing off my favourite part of the world.
21857 I really enjoyed the book and the one from Bean's perspective set at the same time (the movie uses info from both books) and I enjoyed the movie, but I didn't really enjoy the others in the series I read.
