213642 That's probably the same book I read. :) I gave someone else This List of movie tie-in books. Star Trek & Star Wars have tons of books, but dunno if those are your kind of things.

213642 I'm always up for helping!! :)

I finished all my text books, and I was planning on starting Dark & Spells tonight.

I don't specifically have Guide & Thousand right now, but I'll look again, if Angie doesn't have either, or wants to do Dark.

213642 I thought about making it where you could play with a Mate, but if you went with a friend to the parks, you'd still go on all the rides yourself. :). How it is set up, there was just no way to figure out how to do it. Hopefully talking about it will make it group like. :)

You can use Booty Rewards for most, but not all, things. It will be noted if they can't be used and which can't. For example, there is something in the begining that you must do on your own and its noted that you can't use the Buddy or Bronze Bones.

Awww, thanks Cayleigh!

213642 It's on Kindle Unlimited, if you have that. If not, they might do a free trial for you. Dunno if they did a free one this past month, or I just happened to get a free trial of it.

213642 Oh oh, I can help!!

The Black series by Russell Blake is set in Hollywood. The opening of the first books blurb ~ "Artemus Black. Perennially down-on-his-luck Hollywood PI whose Bogie fixation is as dated as his wardrobe."

The MC is likable. The side characters are over-the-top and unlikable, but it's a shorter easy read, and set in Hollywood. No romance!

213642 Sorry I didn't answer here, as I saw that Melinda had figured it out.

To send the completed puzzles, you have to host it to an image hosting site (like Imgur) and then either post it as an image, or give us the link so we can go see it.

This post explains how to post an image, once you have the url for it.

213642 Day 26: Short Stories

I'm not a fan of short stories, but there are certain ones I read, mainly the in between books of the In Death series, they are great, and the short stories of the St Mary's series.

Midnight in Death (In Death, #7.5) by J.D. Robb Interlude in Death (In Death, #12.5) by J.D. Robb Wonderment In Death (In Death, #41.5) by J.D. Robb My Name is Markham (The Chronicles of St Mary's, #7.6) by Jodi Taylor The Great St Mary's Day Out (The Chronicles of St Mary's, #7.5) by Jodi Taylor Ships and Stings and Wedding Rings (The Chronicles of St. Mary's, #6.5) by Jodi Taylor

Day 25: Comics Craze

I'm not just an overall Comics fan, but I do read comics of things I really really enjoy. I'm a huge fan of the Arkham video games, and they have comics that tie in, so I've read most of those, I can't remember if I finished them. I also started reading the Overwatch Comics before I started playing the game and I enjoy them more now that I actually know who the characters are and such. I started the Bombshells series of comics and tho I only read the first one or two, I really liked it and I want to get back into them. I also found out the Timebound series has comics and I read the first one of that and want to read the other 3. I do want to try the Lumberjane ones as well. :)

I get started on a handful then don't finish, just cuz I'd rather read books, but I've liked a bunch, I just need to make time for more.

Batman Arkham Unhinged, Vol. 1 by Derek Fridolfs Batman Arkham Unhinged, Vol. 2 by Derek Fridolfs Overwatch #1 Train Hopper by Robert Brooks Overwatch #2 Dragon Slayer by Matt Burns DC Comics Bombshells, Vol. 1 Enlisted by Marguerite Bennett Time Trial #1 (The CHRONOS Files) by Rysa Walker Lumberjanes, Vol. 1 Beware the Kitten Holy by Noelle Stevenson

213642 Well. Years ago, pretty much 1996-2006, WDW was my life. It was before then, and a bit after too, but during that time, WDW was my passion, like books/video games are now. So, that being said, I can talk your EARS off (pun intended) about WDW and everything in it. Don't feel like you have to read!

TL:DR ~ I love the parks, and everything in 'em!

213642 Awww thanks Suzanne! I do love my WDW, only things about FL that I miss. :) I've been working on this challenge since before Wobble, so it's a long time in coming. I had planned on starting it on Oct 1st of last year. Of course, since I didn't, it's evolved a ton since then.

Don't have a panic attack Kim! :) Glad you are excited for it. :D I'm excited to finally get it going.

213642 I'm sorry life is too sucky to enjoy challenges. I hope that you'll join in this one when you can, and it puts a smile on your face! :)

213642 I don't mind reading something in a series if it's not a series I'd normally read. That sounds better than anything I've found so far, so thanks for that! I'll keep looking for a bit, since I probably won't get to it soon anyways, but may read that one.

I did find Musical Mysteries which has a few on it that don't too too awful! :D

213642 I'm not to hopeful, but I need recommendation on a book with a musical instrument on the cover that is NOT romance. I hate plain romance and really really am not into the whole bad boy musician thing. yuk!

What I would like to find would be maybe a musically based mystery/thriller. Something like Summer Wind by Christa Charter would be good, but I read it and don't wanna use a reread on it. Are there any detective series that might have an instrument on it? I prefer mystery or action over all else, so thats really what I am looking for. Not so easy to find! I'd do a cozy mystery at this point, as long as it's not romance.

If anyone with a Buddy Bone would like to read a musical instrument for me, I'd be glad to read something for you!

213642 This thread has been quiet! I hope everyone has been reading their books!

Danielle, I've completed 2 of the 4 so far, and plan on another before the 7th.

I really enjoyed Midnight Rescue. It had been on my TBR for a while but I never got around to it, though I've read other books by her. I liked the story and the characters. 4 stars. I will definitely read more of the series.

For me, Fatal Affair was just ok. I liked Nick, but I didn't love Sam. The story wasn't my favorite and the characters felt flat to me. It was good, just not great, for me. 3 stars.

Planning on getting to A Cold Dark Place for Return to Hogwarts, since it fits for Title.

Thanks for the picks!

213642 Day 27: Snacks

Dewey's is ALL about the snacks! You'll see some people talk about "healthy" snacks. Yikes!! Not me, not me at all. I am a junk food person anyways, so Dewey's is a great time for snacks.

Snacks I've had to enjoy during Dewey's have been: Sour Patch Kids, Smores Goldfish, brownies, Oreos, cookies, graham crackers with Resee's Spread, ice cream... the list goes on.

Haven't started to think about snacks for this time around yet since it's still a month off. Looking forward to the snacks almost as much as the books. :)
