What were the last 7 books you finished?



What was the last book you rated 5 stars?
Ended up giving Last Year 5 stars, though I wavered between 4 and 5. It was different and I enjoyed it.


What was the last book you rated 1 star, or Did Not Finish?
Before You Leap was a 1 star book I finished for RtH, otherwise I wouldn't have stayed with it.


Have you read any books out of your reading comfort zone lately?
I don't have a comfort zone, I read almost everything. If I had to pick, I'd say that I don't read mermaid / ocean dwelling creatures stories and if Undertow is any indication of what they are like, I'll probably continue not to. Bleh!


How you discovered a new to you author you love lately?
I'm new to Ilona Andrews but really like the Kate Daniels series so far (just two books in). I was expecting it to be a lot like the Mercy Thompson books, and they are, but I definitely prefer Kate and look forward to reading more.


What October 2017 release are you anticipating most?
There are 6 books on my Oct to-be-released shelf, books that I don't have, though there are several I already have or have read coming out as well.
I'm mostly looking forward to and of course


What 2018 release are you anticipating most?
Many!! Too many books are waiting til 2018 to come out. MOST anticipating, I'd have to say ! But also looking forward to:

Are you on NetGalley? They were giving it off there, that's how I read it so early, don't know if it's still available or not at this point, but usually they run til it's released.

I need to do my review of it. I really really liked it. IMO it doesn't live up to the Martian tho, which is one of my all time favorite books. Jazz is a great character, but she's not Watney. It was still really good. Darn 5 star rating systems. If I went by 10 stars, Martian would be 11, and Artemis would be a solid 8 stars. It's great, just not Martian levels of greatness. :)

Hmm. I'd say if the whole kingdom is celebrating then yes. If it's like a kindgom/town affair, then it'd work. If it's a small wedding and just the people involved are celebrating then no.

I believe just "Guide in Title" is all that need to be read for. I did just start a Guide book, but if you have one, feel free to take it.

When in doubt, what is in the book will be what we're looking for. In this case 2 dead parents. Or, also acceptable, would be one dead parent if the other parent is unknown. But if they are living with one biological parent and one is dead, then no, that wouldn't work.

You aren't the only one Maya, Plethora did it that way as well. :) I wanted to, but wanted to be always caught up in case I was needed, so I decided I'd stick with 4 tasks, so a good middle of the road for me. :)

Oh, that's not how it works Tati. The chapters that are already open are open to everyone. So because the group as a whole opened Ch 2, Ch 2 is open for you, as are 3-5 so far.

All you have to worry about, joining in now, is reading for two tasks each, of Chapters 1-5, in order. Then you'll be caught up with the group and can help with further chapters.
