yeah, but that's clamp. they always do tragic love stories. people say vampire knight is awesome and i thought that series was a waste of space and trees. so you can't always go with what everyone says.

it might be in the "young adult" section. but i doubt it too. newer series are a little slower getting to libraries since they typically don't have big budgets, and people probably don't donate them as often. you can always check out hastings or half price books. those are awesome deals! your mom might be concernded that mangas are expensive and they are after all comics.

just search manga in the library's search engine. you would be surprised. mine had over 1000 entries! mind you that included dvds, and western comics, but it was still rather impressive. my school library only had about 10 (yeah, way back in the day), so i was shocked to see the selection. anyway- mine had chobits, which was pretty popular. that one was pretty good, worth checking out.

yeah, mokona orginates from magic knight rayearth. which is also a good series. clamp reuses all of their characters in a good chunk of their series. so it's fun to keep seeing what they reuse and change.
i would suggest xxxholic. i personally like that one better than tsubasa. plus, even though they tie over, you don't need to read tsubasa at all to understand the story.

uh, have you read the entire series? i don't want to spill any spoilers if you haven't. but if you read about yoshizumi's original intent, it would have made a more dramatic ending than the already pretty dramatic one in place.

i cried pretty much every single episode! i was so disappointed that rin never made an appearance. she was my favorite!

maybe, but i don't think so. i think it goes back to authenticity. manga are japanese comics, so it would be inauthentic to read a manga that didn't originate from japan. though honestly, reading manga in english is also inauthentic, so there really isn't any winning.

i haven't seen the "wb" in a long time. i was thinking that cartoon network kept adding odd animes. but honestly, i just don't watch too much anime anymore. i'll buy it and watch what i own from time to time, but i won't watch it on the tv anymore. now, if they brought back sailor moon, i might change my mind. haha
i love spirited away! that's an awesome movie! i didn't think it was that weird, now,
utena is a weird movie.
my sister watches tons of anime online. she's told me the sites before, but i always loose the papers that i write the names on.

story of my life. when i have money, it goes towards books...

most definately! and they keep moving the manga section! so i'm always getting lost in there!

it is a good series, i totally agree. i only read volume 2 though. you don't see
cardcaptor sakura too much anymore. i can see if you were looking at
tsubasa to be a continuation of
sakura to be disappointing. when
tsubasa came out, i really wanted to read it, but a friend said that i should read sakura first since it appears to be cont. from it. it really wasn't the case at all. clamp just reused faces and names, but not much of anything else in the series.

yes! that's how i feel with "boys over flowers." though honestly, with what all she went through, i think it would take me a long time to come around too.

most definitely. some people will only read from japanese authors. it's a shame b/c you miss out on some really good stories by only sticking to some lame prejudice.

oh, but i saw it on "kids wb" when that channel was still that. so anyone with basic cable in my area could have seen it. yep, there was sailor moon, samuri pizza cats, digimon, pokemon, card capture sakura, yugi oh!, and dbz. not all on the same day of course, or even on during the same years.

yeah. i have a co-worker who's parents did something similar. i guess that it is the weirdest art of the series. if yoshizumi didn't "chicken out" at the end, yuu and miki would have been about just as weird. oh, make sure to read the commentary. yoshizumi talks about the anime, and it's funny to hear how it wasn't living up to the manga.

that's why i originally put it back down. i thought it wouldn't be a complete story being so minimal. but, i think it's done so well that if it were done like a normal manga, it would have ruined the overall feel of the story.

lol. there are sites where you can watch it for free without d/ling them. but i don't know them. you can also check utube. they have lots of random stuff.

lol, you know my best friend in middle school said the same thing. besides, it's just too expensive. 30 bucks for something that says 'a & f'?! i could use my money better, like on manga.

yeah, it's 20 bucks. i used a 40% off coupon when i purchased it, so it wasn't terrible. plus, it's actually a good deal since it's 4 books in one.

i hate classes like that. totally doesn't help when you finally do something somewhat decent, and you realize that it's still nowhere in comparison.
