yeah, i guess on both ends that's true.

lol! i think i'm the same way, half of the time i never have a favorite, and when i do it's right before it happens. though in this series, i don't remember when i became his fan. i think it was early on since there was enough foreshadowing to pick him early on. though sometimes i don't pick the one the author picks. then i just want to yell at them because they picked the "wrong" one. lol.

haha! it's really good! i think you'll like it. it's four books, but they have been out of print for a couple of years. it was re-released in one big book, i think for clamps 20th anniversary. it has a futuristic feel to it with the normal clamp sad overtones, but done really really well. the books are chronologically out of order. with the way that the series ended, it has the feeling of being incomplete. you meet all four levels of clovers, and are surprised sometimes by who is actually a clover. the artwork is very detailed, but is presented in a way where it is still minimal. there is even minimal conversation. i really enjoyed this series/book.

i totally already added it to our group's books. i'm not quite sure it's a complete work. i've read from some people that it isn't. but i'm unsure. it would make more sense if they added a book or two more, but i think it's pretty well developed as it is. the big book in the store is the entire series, all four books. it is out of order too, but i think it's fine. the last scene in book 4 ends oddly, so i think that's why so many people it's incomplete which, it could easily be.

seeing card capture sakura's anime? i saw a handful of episodes when it was a saturday morning cartoon. it's really good. i highly recommend it.

most definitely. it's also like built in advertisement. 'here's some of our other work too!'

i gave up trying to draw things like they appear in my head. my hands just can't draw what i imagine. now, if i could only imagine at my artistry level, i wouldn't feel so bad.

that totally happens to me when i cook for my family. my mom just pushes me over and starts adding things and changes the complete direction of the meal. so frustrating!

lol. my boyfriend and i play that game sometimes. we look at covers and sometimes in books and guess if it's a boy or girl, then read to find out who was right.

the
marmalade boy kind of weird is acceptable. even the love triangle in there is acceptable. i've read that sort of thing in other series that did not turn out so well.

what i get most tired of is reading about characters that face no consequence for anything they do. i can read those stories, but once i get sick of it, it takes a long time for me to be able to tolerate it again. i don't mind stories being unrealistic if the author built it in the correct way. it has to seem realistic within that story, you know. if it's unrealistic even for the story, then it's a lame ending.

that's right, manhwa. though i just lump them all into my manga section anyway. to me it's all the same, though i'm sure the artist would not agree. lol

i found it at borders, so no worries. it's fantastic! when i was reading it i was like 'oh, she's in "tsubasa" too!' i think that i have to go back and read that series and see what all new characters i recognize. but yeah, be prepared, it's a little sad and doesn't have much dialog and is minimal in artwork. but it's done really well.

i couldn't remember where we talked about having a "clover" event so i decided to post here about it. i found a good copy at the bookstore and bought it anyway. so i'll see if i can hold off reading it if we're having a fun filled event. but i can't promise anything. haha. nah, i think i'll just have to read it again for the event. lol. um, so was it going to be an all day thing, week long deal, etc? let me know!

it's a really hard choice. i agree!

that was my first obsession series! i
love it! though by the end of the book you want to slap some sense into yuu. i used to think
marmalade boy was pretty weird too, but not so much anymore. i don't know if it's because i kept re-reading it or if it's because i'm so used to reading all sorts of odd things now.

most definitely! though sometimes i just get in those moods where i'm looking for a slightly unhappy ending. you know, something a little unexpected.

exactly! you have to be such a creative person to pull off having a good series, and i know that being in a team can be quite beneficial and produce lots of good works. but, if it was your baby and you thought that the team was killing it by going in a different direction... i don't think that i could handle it if it were me.

i can relate. when school's in, i hardly have time to read fun things. since i red slow, the 600+ pages is tough for me to get through, that is if i get close at all to that goal.
did you know that math exercise the left-side of the brain too? when my boyfriend told me that, i was dumbstruck. so then he went on to tell me about mathematical equations that could be (and are) used for music. at that point, i was like 'i give up, i can't ever escape from the clutches of math!'

well, i guess it's his way of keeping the class engaged.
