i next to never use the glossary. i'll read it at the end if it's cultural notes, but i won't bother with the sound effects.

she sort of is, but her best friend is really the fortune teller. i think she was called the "space time witch" in
tsubasa, and then i think was briefly referred to in holic as well. i love her character! the outfits, her bottomless pit of a stomach, her sound advice, how stingy she seems... i think she was well put together.

i kind of like that. some people don't get it when it's sugarcoated.

i think it's just checked out. but yeah, i totally hate that too. it's even worse when they don't have all of the books in a series in a row. like, they'll have #1,2,8,9,and 10. totally lame.

alright, looked it up.
xmen: 1963
spiderman: 1962
hulk: 1962
wolverine: 1982 (from what i could tell about his own series.)

i think the hulk is from the 50s, and wolverine is from the 80s, maybe 70s. wolverine was developed after x-men became popular, much like the deadpool series. i think spiderman was in the 60s. maybe i'll look it up. haha, maybe.

maybe, but i doubt it. they also don't know what you had envisioned before creating it. so it might look good, but look nothing like your goal was and therefore you would be disappointed in the finished product. that also happens to me a lot.

i do! central time zone! i would also have to read it online. i haven't seen it at my library.

true. but then i always wonder about creative differences. what if it doesn't go as one of the pair envisions? do they break up the team? i guess it's not like i'm going to ever find out about it, i mean i only read published works.

i always thought it was because one couldn't tell a story but knew how to draw, and the other could tell a story but couldn't draw to save their life. well, it might not have been too bad. sometimes it's better to have two heads instead of one.

whenever i feel that way, i just have to put it away for a couple of days. i often feel that way when making floral arrangements. when i'm working on it, i think it's the ugliest thing to have graced the planet, but when it's put in the back for a bit and i see it a couple of days later, it looks a lot better. no, my coworkers don't fix them, but they look better when i leave it alone for a while. it might be that you're just too close to your work at the time.

we should make it an event, to read clover together.

it was referenced in chobits (#7), and i was like 'oh! must find this soon!' i just love how clamp does that, they keep referencing past series in their new series.

probably longer. they were around when i was in elementary school, and they were old then! lol! they're classic "americana" when you really think about it. when i think american comics, i think archie, peanuts, batman, superman, x-men, and captain america. there's probably so many more you could add to the list too.

i really wish they had book 8 at the library last sunday! read through 7 today, so good! want more! haha, that's totally like me, always getting addicted to stuff.

you can take art classes, plus they sell enough books on the topic. i think that all it takes is practice along with some basic technique. neither of which i do, or have. haha! but yeah, even if i could draw, i can't tell a story to save my life.

yuko
holic is
creepy? really? i think
descendants of darkness is creepier, and i don't really consider that to be creepy either. oh well, i guess watching all of those b rated horror movies in high school helped me build up a tiny resistance to it.

lol. i've been reading
red river which has it's books sealed from book 14 and on. come to think of it, it didn't always need to be sealed. oh well. you know, sex seems to be a common theme in shojo too. i'm typically fine with it unless it's rape. i have a harder time dealing with rape storylines.

yeah, plus they add historical notes in the back to fill in the missing gaps.
