just read it online! lol. nah, i totally prefer reading it in paper form. it doesn't strain my eyes as quickly. lol. it can take 8-10 hours before they start getting itchy and bloodshot when reading from books, but only 2 or 3 hours from the computer. i don't get it. maybe it's because it glows, who knows. but yeah, it'll get expensive. 20+ books, 10 bucks (or more) for each one. but it's okay. the addictive quality that is fruits basket wares off after a couple of weeks, only to be revived when you pick up the latest one for your collection.

that happens. i used to look up release dates on borders' webbie, and half of the time they didn't have records of upcoming releases, or they'll only have two or three upcoming releases for a series. there could be more, but they don't have dates for it. oh, and i looked again in my books and they were being released every 3 months, so book 6 could be released in sept. i hope it's not one of those series that just doesn't have an end, like
millennium snow. that was so disappointing.

yeah, well they can be. a lot of people want to get rid of badly damaged, and unpopular books. plus, they still have to make a profit. so i totally understand where they are coming from. but even libraries can be picky about what they will take as donations. so i guess it really can't be helped.

you're lucky that they were all out! i started this series back in 2004, so i really had to wait for new ones to come out. i once lent a book to a friend, and never got it back, so be careful! you should have totally handed him something like
gravitation and have him compare. lol. then he would see the error in his thinking!

i haven't read that one. but i guess i know what you mean. sometimes a pure romance story is what's best.

i guess that calms down too. sort-of. i really didn't notice an abundant amount of people dieing though. maybe i'm just used to lots of people dying in a series. you know, at least one person has to die, or already be dead (but still impact a character in some way) for a series to be any good. i really can't think of a single series that was worth anything that didn't follow that rule.

i'm really out of practice with drawing anyway. i used to at least doodle a lot when writing notes, i barely even do that anymore. so now, not only do my pictures never look the same, but i'm not as good as i used to be.

haha! that's totally me too! the downside to half price books is that they don't always have what you're looking for, or even the correct volumes in the series that you are reading. but the upside is that you can buy twice as much for the same amount you would have spent buying new.

well, i think that both yuki and kyo needed tohru. i really like how takaya rectified the whole wining over tohru's heart thing. i totally have to re-read this series. there are so many characters that if you only read it once every 6 months (like i did) you can get lost so easily. i would have to re-read all the books i had to remember what was going on whenever i got a new book. then half the time i would be too lazy to do that and i would just be confused when i read it. haha. anyway- i was totally a kyo fan from nearly the beginning. but yuki and tohru were cute too. ahhh- it's so good!

yeah, there's a decent amount going on in the series.

it gets clearer as the series continues. i'm sure that if i kept up with tsubasa, there would be more tidbits for me to pick up on. is ch. 55 around book 5? the demon interaction really calms down as you read if that's the confusing part. it's been a while since i re-read the series, but i guess i would be re-reading it from a different perspective since i know what happens later in the series. ah, but re-reading things is so much fun!

you could just use tracing paper. but that could get expensive. but a lightbox/tracing table would most certainly be useful. i can never seem to draw something the same way twice. so i gave up on drawing comics a long time ago.

i should have asked, are you reading the big multi-volume books or the regular sized volumes? mine are the big ones, so there's at least 10 regular sized volumes out there. but it kinda sounds like your reading the big ones too.

oh, most definitely. and then try to fit it in the tiny block! my boyfriend had to show me how to zoom in on the page. i'm so glad that one of us is computer savvy.

i kind of thought that book 5 was the final book. but i've been mistaken before. they've been released about every 4 months. the 5th was released this month, so if there's a 6th, it'll probably be released in october. yeah, i have a lot of series mapped out for their latest release.

it kinda of sounds like
othello. i would probably have to go to half price books if i'm to start
nana though. isn't it 20+ books?
but it totally sounds like it's right up my alley for the type of book i normally read. lol.

i think i cried while reading just about every single volume. it's soo good, but can get pretty depressing. though, not as depressing as
fushigi yugi. i had to stop reading that one, it was just too painful.
but you'll love
fruits basket! i promise! the only ones i'm missing from the series are the first two books. someday i will get them, but i'm sure that once i do, i'll just keep re-reading the entire series. it's just too addictive!

virtually none. slightly disappointed. there's a bizarre love triangle between cesare, chiaro, and lucrezia. lucrezia loves cesare who is in love with chiaro who is in love with lucrezia. but there are hints that cesare may have more than just brotherly feelings for lucrezia, lucrezia might be falling for chiaro, and for some reason chiaro is drawn to cesare. so it's tough to pick who you want to get together. half the time you feel like you don't want anyone to get together. the focus of the series is cesare's struggle with his demons, and the power struggles going on in italy in the late 15th century.
red river has more shojo and is also a hist-fiction. though that one also focuses a lot on war and political scheming.

maybe i should of picked it up at the store. sounds like there's enough twists to keep just about anyone interested. boy, my clamp to-read list keeps growing!

my grandma had one! they're really neat. she even had barbie patterns to trace with it.
