This month, read a book about fame, show business or Hollywood (anything from a tell-all to a fiction book about someone famous).

It's time for the July wrap-up! Feel free to comment here and let us know how your reading went this month, if you had trouble completing this month's task, if you enjoyed the book you read and whether you'd recommend it.

I finally read something for this task lol, I listened to Shirley Jackson's book about the salem witch trials.
The Witchcraft of Salem Village. i thought it was a good overview of everything that happened, and i liked the afterword too, which gave more historical background, and compared the hysteria of salem to other places around the same time. it's meant for young adults to read, so if you're looking for something super in depth then you may be disappointed but as a refresher i thought it was great.

Highly recommend."i have got to read this now lol
Kat wrote: "I know I've been gushing about it on ONTD, but I just finished listening to Murder on the Orient Express read by Dan Stevens and he does a fantastic job. And it's only 6.5 hours if ..."i think i may try this, i've been listening to audiobooks at work and will need something new soon :)

Oh thank you Katie!!
I'm not sure what I'll read this month... I planned to do Helter Skelter, so I think I'll put that on hold soon. I honestly have too many books out from the library this month so I'll probably put off reading anything for this month until closer to the end, lol

will update this spot with the ONTD post, which has been submitted!
OK, post is finally up
https://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com...

Read a book that was published in 1934 OR written by an author who was born in 1934!

I read
When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir. I would recommend it, although I didn't love the book.

Kim wrote: "I'm angry that I didn't wait to read the David Lynch bio Room to Dream lol i just finished it. Great read."ohh i want to read this!!!!!!

hmm it seems to me that Frontier Spirit and The Girls of Atomic City are about many different ppl at a particular period of time so they don't really work
looks like Smoke Gets In Your Eyes works though, it's tagged memoir!
Undine wrote: "I'm gonna read Wishful Drinking because everyone else on the planet has and I own it.
Would John Carreyrou's new book about Theranos count? Or does it have to be a person specifical..."hmm.. i would say it doesn't count since it's more about the business than Elizabeth Holmes

Hopefully the ONTD post will go up today :) sorry about the delay!
thanks for those recs Jamie!

This month, learn more about someone by reading a biography or a memoir!

So far I've read
Ice Wolves by
Amie Kaufmanand
Aru Shah and the End of Time by
Roshani Chokshi.
They are both middle-grade fantasy books and I really enjoyed both. I think Aru Shah was better written, so I would recommend that before Ice Wolves. Ice Wolves was still super cute though, I mean wolves and dragons!!!

I started reading
Aru Shah and the End of Time by
Roshani Chokshi. it's soo good, i'm about 50% through with it. It's middle-grade, don't make fun, but I love it.
