I always used it until I had an English professor in college that forced me to change my ways. In the last couple years, I have rediscovered its necessity, and have returned to using it again. My editor feels that either way is acceptable as long as it is consistent. She uses them in her own writing.

I can't get over how much I love your Inspector Stone covers. They compliment each other perfectly.

I was trying to figure out how to disable the option the second I saw it. I don't want anything to do with exchanges or swaps. I messaged them and hope they discontinue that option all together.

It looks like the made some changes last month. I wonder if this is one of them.

So I was on Readers Favorite today and saw an option stating that I am a participant in their review exchange program:

"This author participates in the Readers' Favorite Book Review Exchange Program, which is open to all authors and is completely free. Simply put, you agree to provide an honest review an author's book in exchange for the author doing the same for you. What sites your reviews are posted on (Goodreads, B&N, Amazon, etc.) and whether you send digital (eBook, PDF, Word, etc.) or hard copies of your books to each other for review is up to you. To begin, click the purple email icon to send this author a private email, and be sure to describe your book or include a link to your Readers' Favorite review page or Amazon page."

I want nothing to do with review exchanges and this option is default. If you have ever had a review from readers favorite, you should consider changing this option. Go to your author area, select a book that has a review from them in the "Book Title" drop down area, then scroll to the bottom of the screen. Remove the check from the review exchange box. You will have to do this for each book. Do NOT participate in review swaps or exchanges. They are against Amazon's terms and can land you in hot water!
