I KNOW I have followed your page in the past and feel like last time your posted your page on a thread like this I was surprised I wasn't following you. Once again, it did not show I was following you on Facebook anymore. I don't know what is happening there. Rant over...I am following you again. Lol

My grandpa has been in the hospital and rehab home for 2 months now while they are trying to figure out his seizure meds. The brain is so complex that we don't know everything about it and it requires trial and error in many cases. While it certainly has been difficult on my Gpa, it has been equally if not more hard on my Gma. I have been trying to help when I can, but the near 3 hour drive one way and two little ones makes it difficult. I am glad that the specialist listened to you and I am hoping things level off soon, Alex. I am hoping you get better soon too, Amy.

I could have sworn we had a thread for this, but can't find it if we do. One of the ways I am supporting fellow authors this year is by making sure I am following them on social media. Give me your link and I will follow you on Facebook and Twitter. Feel free to share other links too and return the favor by following the other authors that comment. By liking and commenting on fellow author posts, you can help boost their messages to their followers. Be sure to check out the General section on the main page discussion board for Goodreads follows

Done. Thank you, Carole! <3

R.M.-Brit has it covered. :) See message 11 for details of what to send and where.

Thanks for the link, Carole! That is awesome! I can't image how incredible it was for him to see the faces of loved ones for the first time in a long time.

Ugh, Alex...I hope you get some information that makes the trip worth it.

Alex, I hope the appointment goes well.

Carole, do you know how long ago you posted the video? I couldn't find it right off.

It does cost now. The change was announced at the end of last year and took affect early to mid january - I believe. I agree, that is too much for an indie author. Since the giveaways policy change, I have been looking for new places to do book giveaways. Popular bloggers are a good place to start. I know some authors have found other websites that are similar to Goodreads that do free giveaways, but off the top of my head I can't remember them.

I am in and willing to help organize it in any way I can.

We have been going through the thread and clicking the names above the comments as new people join in. It will take you to their profile page, and if they are and author, you can click "follow author." Followed you, M.J. ;)

I think the same thing. But the people running the presses are just as important. They are responsible for the overall quality. I just hope Amazon continues to employ good printing technicians. Time will tell.

Oh no. I didn't think about your case, Alex. I am hoping the layoffs don't include the actual printing staff. If they lay-off their trained staff and hire cheaper employees I believe we will see a decrease in quality. There is a skill that comes with calibrating ink on printers. Not everyone has an eye for it.

Sorry I missed you, Grace. Following you now. :)
