201765 Going through and clapping for articles posted today. Alex, I haven't known you very long and only know you through the internet, but I have already seen you come a long way in this short time. Keep pushing forward. You have got this. :)

201765 Createspace will make your book available on multiple platforms if you choose expanded distribution. However, I have a feeling that they will be switching everything over to KDP soon anyway. Congrats on your progress!

201765 I read the same thing, Amy. I haven't looked into it much further.

201765 I had a couple sales and reviews show up on Amazon the day after you featured me, Carole. Not sure if it's related, but I don't get sales and reviews everyday so it wouldn't surprise me. Thank you!

201765 There is also rumor that Amazon is moving to shut down createspace and make everyone move to KDP. Just rumor at this point, but it makes sense. Why would you have two different platforms that do the same thing? I haven't moved to KDP, but am preparing a backup plan incase they do end createspace.

201765 Thanks, Judy. I had a blast writing that one. :)

201765 For the official registration, if you are the only contributor to your book it is $35 for copyright. As far as Createspace, I recommend buying ISBNs if you can. They are undergoing some changes and having your own ISBNs will make it easier to move your books to another platform if you have to. Just a suggestion though. Good luck!

201765 So I ran I test and posted some articles last week that I did not link here. I was trying to see if you could get paid if you had shares, views and reads but no claps. My estimates came in today and it appears that the answer no. Maybe if you had a very high number of activity you might get something, but it is hard to test that case because with enough activity you are destined to get some claps. I have found that articles that had less claps, but more individuals contributing to those claps paid more. Not that any of this changes how to write, I was just curious and wanted to share what I found. :) If you are interested in checking out any articles you may have missed, here is my page: https://medium.com/@egraham040

201765 If you plan to write for a publication, then each one has different requirements. I have not looked into this option yet, but it seems that is how you really get noticed and make money. Most of us are just doing the preferred Partner Program.

201765 Thanks you, Judy! I am thankful for the experience and what I learned. I do miss hanging out with my fellow musicians though. They were a blast. Though this group is easily filling that spot. ;)

201765 I agree! Very eye-catching. I would pick those up off a shelf in a bookstore.

201765 Sweet! They look great!
201765 You can, but you may have to purchase that book on the Amazon site for that country. I have gifted ebooks and gift cards to the UK, but I had to create and amazon.co.uk account and purchase them on there. I was able to pay with US currency by credit card. There was a currency converter when I checked out.

201765 Thanks for the info Alexis. I have seen a huge dip in reaches since the change and was giving up on Facebook. I will hang in a bit longer and see what happens.
