I hope everyone is having/has had a happy holiday! Did anyone get any books gifted to them this year?
I got I Am Malala: The Story of the Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban and The Death of Mrs. Westaway I'm so excited to read them! I also got my own copy of Rebecca which was awesome because it was my favorite book I read this year, and I'm sure I'll want to re-read it!

It has been a while since I read the series, but Candy might not get more fleshed out until the 3rd book. But like you said the world building is amazing!
I think it goes under the radar because a lot of people don't like books with a weak plot. My absolute favorite book is Alice in Wonderland, so obviously I don't mind a book that focuses on the world more than the characters. I completely understand why someone wouldn't like that though.

Books 12 (& maybe 13)"
Sorry Basak, I don't think this should count as a book. Most of the reviews on goodreads say that it is not really a book. What did you think of it though? I like learning about that time period in New York. It sounds interesting.
Barbara is the 4th Hufflepuff to reach over 100 books during this challenge! Congratulations! :) I can't believe it, but we have only 2 weeks left! We have done great over the course of this challenge, I'm so proud of all of my fellow Hufflepuffs! Let's see how many more books we can finish!
I finally completed my challenge! message 49To anyone who hasn't completed their challenge, there are still 2 weeks left, you can do it!

The Hate U Give
The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, the Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made
I didn't include The Complete Maus because it is a graphic novel, but it is the best book about the holocaust I've ever read!
*edited because other people have included honorable mentions, and I feel bad leaving out The Kite Runner It was so good!
