Hufflepuff November: 1.21
Overall: 9.29
Slytherin
November: 0.63
It is still so early in the month, but we have our first point of November! You guys have been posting books like mad! :D
Malavika wrote: "Hi! Sorry I'm a bit late, but I'm going to add my October books as well (like Mandi)."Hi Malavika, welcome to Hufflepuff! Just to confirm, all the books you posted are from October?
Celeste wrote: "Okay guys, I have a problem. One of my members (Kourtney) deleted herself it seems? What do I do?..."Hufflepuff also has a member who seemingly deleted their Goodreads account. I have that they read 2 books but I looked through all the pages and never found their posts
Well, it is November now and we already have a nice handful of books read! Slytherin is going to be tough competition. They finished last month with 13 points and are currently in first place in the overall standings. But I know Hufflepuffs are hard-working, so lets keep them on their toes (tails? snakes don't really have toes i guess). My strategy will be to read lots of comics and short books this month. I know not all of you will want to read shorter books and that is completely fine. Here are some links to short books that Susan had posted before. (just in case you want to squeeze in some small books in between your longer reads):
Novels under 300:
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/2...
YA under 300:
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/7...
Best Under 100 with links to all lengths:

Also including lists of Best Graphic Novels:
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/2...
and best childrens books:

Please add those books you've been reading to your children, grandchildren, neices and nephews, etc. It may seem unfair because they are so short, but it is not against the rules and can really help boost our numbers!
Zainab wrote: "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT GUYS! WE WON!I was so hesitant to write anything before the international deadline afraid that I will jinx us :p
Good game team, we did great ."
I think we all were a bit afraid of jinxing it. BUT WE DID IT! Well done everybody! I know it was nerve racking watching the scores go back and forth, but it also made the competition really exciting. I am so proud of all of you!
Catherine wrote: "Updated Gryffindor for the end of October and with a last minute addition we, unless anyone else posts in the next half hour, are ending at 8.02 books per person and Hufflepuff is at 8.20. You guys..."It really came down to the wire. You guys made me step up my reading game there at the end! Just wanted to stop in and say best wishes against Ravenclaw this month, and thanks for being such exciting competitors!
I probably am the only person who hasn't read it, but I would like to nominate The Fellowship of the Ring
I don't know how well html works on the phone, but you could hide all of your October books with a spoiler to make the reserved books list easier to manage. For anyone who doesn't know how to use the spoiler function just type <?spoiler> (without the question mark) before anything you want to hide, and <?/spoiler> after the text you want to hide. (once again without the question mark)
Han wrote: "Can I reserve a separate post for all November books?"The Quidditch positions are for the people who have read the most overall, so I think we want to keep the same reserved posts throughout the challenge.
Vrenzy do you have any preference for this, since you do the teams?
Wonderish wrote: "Hope these books still count. Sorry for the late posting, Halloween ate my life for a bit 🎃🤪."Joules and Zainab thank you both so much!!!! With your additions the standings are now:
Hufflepuff: 8.20
Gryffindor: 8.08
We still have a little over 15 hours for everyone to log their October books, but we are officially in the lead again! :)
John - post November books here just like in October. I'll see the date you finished and add it to the right place.
We still have about 21 hours left to log any books you've finished in October. Like Susan said check to make sure you actually posted all the books you've read. Regardless of if we win this round or not I am so proud of all of you! We've read nearly 450 books collectively in one month! That's amazing, almost 2 books per week for all of our 56 members!
Hufflepuff: 7.89Gryffindor: 7.96
No pressure Zainab, but if we did have 7 more books we'd be just over 8 points.
Barbara wrote: "23. the Bookshop of Yesterdays. 10/31. I don't think I can finish any more for the month. lol."You've done great and have read so many books this month! So happy you are on our team :)
