Hi all! Starting up the monthly discussions for June 2020 book-of-the-month suggestions. This discussion is for the MODERN CLASSIC/POPULAR category.

Books that qualify for this category:

1. Must have a publication date 1970 or after. For older books, please make your suggestion on the Classics thread.

2. Have not been previously ready by this group. Previously read books can be nominated in the Bookshelf Catchup thread. See the group's Bookshelf for previously read books.

3. Be reasonably well-read to fit the "Everyone Has Read This but Me" claim.

I finished Watership Down today! If you didn't already read it with the group, I highly recommend it. I didn't expect to care so much about a bunch of rabbits!

I have about 200 pages left in Watership Down. and 7 hours left in the Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks audiobook. I am sure I will finish Watership Down at least. I have been loving it so far, it is hard to put down!

I know it is late to join in, but a snow storm just came and my shift tonight got cancelled. I'm hoping to get through the rest of Watership Down and Henrietta Lacks before the week is over!
