189072 I want to remind everyone that it doesn't matter how much or how little you read for this challenge. Any book you log helps our team out! Don't feel pressured to read shorter books or keep up with our top readers. Read whatever you like and just have fun with the challenge!

189072 I think a good strategy is to try to pick books that are at the lower end of page counts for the point system. For example, the tier for 2 points is 250-499 pages. So I would try to pick books around 250-300 pages. I hope that makes sense!

Here are links to a few goodreads lists that might help people find shorter books.

Quick Reads

Under 100 pages

Graphic Novels

Picture Books

189072 Another thing the book focused on was whether being immortal was a wonderful experience or somewhat of a curse. I thought both sides of this were represented very thoroughly.

Do you think you would enjoy living forever or would the endlessness feel daunting to you?

189072 I just finished today and I really loved the writing style. I enjoyed the story a lot too! It didn't have the creepy atmosphere I was expecting, but the horror elements it does have were still a great way to get into the fall spirit!

Victoria mentioned how she loved how Louis was a deep thinker. One of my favorite things about this book was how it raised some really interesting and sometimes philosophical view points. Things like Claudia always appearing as a child and how eventually she resents Louis and Lestat for turning her while she was so young. It made me think about how obsessed people can get about aging and trying to appear younger, and is that really a good thing? At the same time it made me think of kids always wanting to be older than they are. As much as I sometimes miss childhood, being stuck inside a child's body while my mind ages sounds torturous.

189072 Answers to a few questions I've seen:

Picture books will count as .5 points as Bryce said. (This might change in future years depending on the feedback)

Anyone can join in at anytime and in any month while the challenge is going.

- Vrenzy is correct, for example, If someone only logs one book for November they would only count towards our November average.

Mariana - You do not have to make a reserve post. You can just add a new comment every time you finish a book. We want phone users to be able to participate as well! (and they can't edit their comments)

189072 Britt - just add the date you finished. the prefect and mods will take care of the tracking.

Sha - You can do either. you might want to check in your house thread to find out what your prefect prefers.
