No disrespect intended with the "knowledge base" comment. I should have said "experiences."

I realize now that El's experiences working in bookstores and libraries have been different than mine, and those experiences, not their knowledge base, is what affects their view. Apologies, El, if you felt I was insulting you.

Was this a book for adults? Was the genre romance or other?

Rosa, please be kind to other members. Yes, children's books include picture books and chapter books for kids up to age 11(ish) whereas YA is typically for ages 12 and up, but not everyone has the same knowledge base.
