Okay, so we're both in the minority. I didn't even finish it.
And that's the problem with "early anthropologists": You have to check the data again, and it is really awful to not be more specific. It is also hard to imagine that women are happy about it in their cultures, it's at least not everywhere the case. So, to summarize it: Very flawed.

And Kudos to Keith, man, I couldn't be in such a relationship!
And Ashna, maybe start telling people bits and bits at first, so that they can adapt. It's not the best to drop everything at once at them.
It is so much better when they know your true self and love you for that, than an artificial copy of yourself. That doesn't mean tho, that you can't progress, you're still young, you have much time!

Some of the threads on OSS can get a little heavy at times and it's good to have one that's important b..."
As you already said Vienna, because they have underground, buses and trams. And Graz, because I love the trams in Graz and there is nothing better than to discover a new book on your way to hospital (or on the way back - depends on when you need more distraction) And in Graz we have a hill in the middle of the city which is often frequented and I also think the universities would be good places!
Salzburg is too little I think, it has only 150.000 inhabitants and I wouldn't know where to deposit some. Although, when I think about it, Mozart Wohn- and Geburtshaus or the fortress might actually be good places? Or the main station... I'd love to go back to my federal capital and distribute books there:)
Human, I wanna distribute books now! Book ninja-ing:)

if anybody knows anything please let me know :D"

You're welcome! (My mother tongue?)

But since I'm a woman, I will only read in here in the future.
Guys, you nail it!
And thanks Ana for drawing the line!

Well... His sentense does not make sense if you put "Philosophy" there. Philosophy does not come from the Heart but from the mind.

I'd say the mind is the tool with which you exercise your philosophy.
Love in many ways - the love for your partner, the love for your children, your relations, for humankind. Love comes in many forms.
And I also need to second Keith here - it's not good if you become consumed by feminism and cannot look at the faults that are within the movement.

@MeeterWorter - why not. Book ningaing (is this a word?) needs to become as widespread as possible (n..."
I'd opt for the last option, but the problem with translating is not just given with this word, but many other newly crafted English words that you might want to translate to German for example.

Georgios, sorry to break it to you, but this was about the motivation, reason behind feminism, and it is perfectly valid. Feminism is also a philosophy, but it's not a science.

Be true to yourself and explain your thoughts coherently and hopefully people will start to have reasonable discussions with you.
Best of all is to remember that it's cool to be a feminist. It's the best chance we have to achieve equality anytime soon."
Can't say it any better. And I'm totally with Tiffany here, high school sucks, but most of them will grow out of it!
And remember, it's cool to be a feminist!
We've got your back!

As long as there is not too much snogging in there, they are great, yes.

Oh, read the other books as well, I must agree, Emma has good taste when it comes to choosing different books about feminism. You can learn something from all of them:)

I think love can actually help you boost your commitment even further to feminism. Discussions with your loved one can challenge your beliefs, and therefore also your belief in feminism. That's actually a good chance to grow, because you (general you) can discover new aspects and actually grow. That's a potential, a very strong one.
But it can also be negative in some ways. When you differ too much and you don't have much in common, it can be difficult to maintain your (again, general you) relationship.
Sometimes you have to make a choice, whether you want to stay in a relationship or whether it is better for you to end it. My ex-girlfriend and I split for good, because she said we have too less in common...
In general, I believe that love only makes us stronger, and we should see the potential of a loving relationship and concentrate on that.
I also can only second the previous speakers, they have maybe better said what I have scribbled here anyway.

Which is why we need to fight back even more. A human being is a human being that deserves respect and we shall all meet each other with generosity. Sadly, this cannot be fulfilled for everyone...

if anybody knows anything please let me know :D"
You can go to their website and order stickers, and that's more or less everything there is to that:)

I would happily volunteer! If we want, it can become a word, language is alive:)

No, you don't need another book at hand. The thought is that books are exchanged and more people can read many different books. But you can of course become a book fairy after reading it. You can anytime.

Congratulations!!!

Now that I read it - exactly the same thoughts! Being prosecuted for taking birth control, what the heck is wrong with Missouri!

Let's be honest Ross, UK govt would tax air if it could get away with it.
Your point is well made and it is disgraceful about VAT on these products."
That's the case in Austria too. 20%, that's twice the amount of food. Wow, I didn't know that, 20 per cent is really much. I mean, any human who needs them shouldn't have to pay anything for them, or at least no VAT... That's so Austria, the patriarchy is still live and well here.
